I really loved ths book. At times I was nervous because of the burglars in their building while hiding. This book is not scary at all. It is just nervracking because of everything that jewish people had to go through. Death camps, concin tration camps, death marches, and worst of all, death chambers, and gas chambers. Almost any jew who went in there never came out. I would reccomend this book to 9+. If your child is younger than 9, read it with an adult, because some parts needed to be explained. Like death camps, and things about Hitler, who Ii wished had never lived. He and his rotten Nazi soldiers murdered approximetly 6 million jews. Out of all of the camps, only 46 men survived, and 82 women, and 67 children. No handicapped jew, lived because they couldent work like non handicapped jews. If you read this book and have the same emotions as me, click yes. P.s. I think one of the workers daughters or wives betraded the Frank family.

This book may be hard for some kids to follow. I and my mom have read it over and over though. Ruth Ashby has missed a lot of great detail she could use in this book. I though of ideas of how he/she could make it better. Anne Frank is a very good book. I encourage students in 5th grade through 8th grade to read it.
