The cover grabs attention of especially young girls right away with the, at the moment, very popular sequin changing cover. Kept in white and gold, it gives off a quality impression and is something those girls who no long like pink are sure to enjoy. This Bible holds the New King James Version, and those spots where significant differences were found form in the Greek New Testament are pointed out in the footnotes. The first page gives a chance for the giver to personalize the Bible followed by a short area for the owner to put in a small family tree. Then—and I found this especially nice—there's a short explanation concerning 'Why Should I Read the Bible?' which is written at a level for girls 9 and older, and attempts to make the Bible personal right away. There are illustrated pages strewn within the Bible, which offer deeper thoughts and answers to questions like ' How Do I Pray?' or 'How Do I Know Jesus Loves Me?'. These are again written at the level of the intended audience, are short and followed by Bible verses, which can be referenced to. Several 'helps' are also found within the pages. At the beginning, there's a timeline, which is illustrated and points out the more significant moments of the Bible. At the end, there is a list with the names of God used in the Bible, a quick list of Jesus' miracles, a list of the disciples, a list of kids in the Bible and several, nicely illustrated maps to help readers get a better idea of a few of the locations mentioned in the Bible. The pages are, as always, thin and hold smaller print. There isn't any room for personal notes, which I find disappointing, but this isn't a study Bible in that sense. Rather, it's a Bible for girls to hold precious and enjoy reading or seeking out more about God. My own daughter couldn't wait to get her hands on it because of the sequins, but has, since then, grabbed it up many times during the last weeks and read in it. I received a copy from Booklook Bloggers and find it to be a lovely Bible, many girls are sure to enjoy.

Sequin Sparkle and Change Bible from Thomas Nelson make great Bibles for girls! I have 3 daughters and I can tell you these sequin things are totally in right now. I would have never thought to put them on Bibles, but it's such a cleaver idea! The NKJV, Sequin Sparkle and Change Bible, Silver/Gold from Thomas Nelson is absolutely beautiful and so much fun! The Sequin Sparkle and Change Bible features sequins that change color depending on which way your child swipes. It’s an absolute blast and somewhat addicting. These Bibles are perfect for kids ages 6 to 10 and make terrific gifts for girls. These Bibles contain the ICB, the first Bible translation created specifically for children that is easy to read and understand with a third-grade reading level and is typeset in a large, readable font. The NKJV, Sequin Sparkle and Change Bible, Silver/Gold from Thomas Nelson is a dream come true for girls that will help them grow closer to God! I received this book for free for reviewing, but all opinions are my own.

“This fun sparkle and change Bible, with cool color-changing sequins, will help you express your style and faith wherever you go,” the back of the gift book states. ~ What ~ Targeted toward girls six to ten years old who want a special “sparkle” Bible that is different from anyone else’s, this hardbound has gold and silver sequins that form heart shapes when pressed specific ways. Using the New King James Version of the Holy Bible, it is 1,120 pages long. With the cover being the main focus for girls to show off, the inside contents focus on God’s Word. The beginning has pink or purple on white inserted pages of ownership, family history, why the Bible should be read, and a timeline, while two more four-page sections are included in the middle that have information on Jesus’s love, verses to know, a page for favorite verses, knowing Jesus better, prayer, forgiving, loving others, and studying the Bible. The ending has pages on names of God, miracles of Jesus, His disciples, children in the Bible, and three maps. ~ Why ~ With the Bible being the most important book in history, this selection is a nice option for the young girl who wants to read it daily, take it to church, or show to others. I like that its version has bold chapter numbers and topics. ~ Why Not ~ Some may not like that the print is small, and the paper is thin, so words can be seen through the pages. ~ Wish ~ I wish a ribbon marker was attached. ~ Want ~ If a young girl is into having a “sparkly” Bible to carry around, this choice may be considered, hoping she would open it often to read and study God’s Word. It would make a nice gift. Thanks to Book Look Bloggers for this complimentary book that I am under no obligation to review.
