Overview
A young boy, lays dreaming on a grassy hill, escaping the harsh realities of the real world. His family pressures him to grow-up and conform, but he resists. One day, he finds a discarded refrigerator box, which he drags home and paints blue. Climbing inside, he goes off on fantastic adventures, picking up a companion along the way. About the Author
Richard Stephen Hartmetz was born in Rochester, NY on February 9, 1965. Richard has degrees in Computer Science, Special Education and Psychology.
He spent many years as a teacher in the Rochester City School District, East Irondequoit, St. Margaret Mary School and the School of the Holy Childhood where he was known as "Mr. H." He is now the CEO of Starry Night Publishing.com.
Richard is also the author of more than twenty-five books including the "Murry Peterson" espionage series, "The Adventures of Robin Caruso," a series of four "Marvin" rhyming books for children, and the £1 bestseller "Secrets to Writing Well." He has also acted as editor and publisher on more than 100 other books.
Richard wrote his first story, entitled "The Dog Catcher is Coming," when he was only six years old and has been writing since, also teaching several writing workshops. He is the only person in the world to win Oracle's international ThinkQuest competition four times.
