Overview

“Morgan Rice's imagination is limitless. In another series that promises to be as entertaining as the previous ones, A THRONE OF SISTERS presents us with the tale of two sisters (Sophia and Kate), orphans, fighting to survive in a cruel and demanding world of an orphanage. An instant success. I can hardly wait to put my hands on the second and third books!”

--Books and Movie Reviews (Roberto Mattos)

From #1 Bestseller Morgan Rice comes an unforgettable new fantasy series.

In A COURT FOR THIEVES (A Throne for Sisters—Book Two), Sophia, 17, finds her world upside down as she is cast from the romantic world of aristocracy and back to the horrors of the orphanage. This time the nuns seem intent on killing her. Yet that doesn’t pain her as much as her broken heart. Will Sebastian realize his mistake and come back for her?

Her younger sister Kate, 15, embarks on her training with the witch, coming of age under her auspices, mastering the sword, gaining more power than she ever imagined possible—and determined to embark on a quest to save her sister. She finds herself immersed in a world of violence and combat, of a magic she craves—and yet one that may consume her.

A secret is revealed about Sophia and Kate’s lost parents, and all may not be what it seems for the sisters. Fate, indeed, may be turned on its head.

A COURT FOR THIEVES (A Throne for Sisters—Book Two) is the second book in a dazzling new fantasy series rife with love, heartbreak, tragedy, action, adventure, magic, sorcery, dragons, fate and heart-pounding suspense. A page turner, it is filled with characters that will make you fall in love, and a world you will never forget.

Book #3 in the series—A SONG FOR ORPHANS—will be released soon.

“[A THRONE FOR SISTERS is a] powerful opener to a series [that] will produce a combination of feisty protagonists and challenging circumstances to thoroughly involve not just young adults, but adult fantasy fans who seek epic stories fueled by powerful friendships and adversaries.”

An excellent installment. I just wish it was all in one big book. ...................................................................

This book reads like someone read an amazing story and is now trying to tell you all about it dispite not being a good story teller. I really wanted to like this series. This is the 5th book by this author I have read. Each reads the same. Wonderful idea for a story. The leads are female (love that), they are strong yet relatable. The main rival is always the same, (poor little rich girl). So is the main love interest (a prince/noble) (yawn). Now, both of these things are forgiveable. They are not the reason I am giving a series, and this author in general, 1 star. Thoughout every book I have read, there are disturbing changes in deatil. One paragraph is dedicated to how the sun feels on the skin and the next, several months have passed and te reader is completely lost. That is bad but the thing that absolutely has me enraged is that EVERY SINGLE BOOK ENDS ON A CLIF HANGER! You will be reading along an see you have 10-30 pages left when the story starts to pick up and you think "Hey, this is getting good!" And it will just end. So, you think "Let me buy the next one". So you do. There is about 20 pages of truely enjoyable writing then it feels like the author just phones it in until the end again.

Another excellent tale from an author with a vivid imagination. This story continues the adventures of two orphan girls who are intent on gaining their freedom and finding their true destiny in a world that is cruel and relentless. It is definitely a page turner, a book I just couldn't put down. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

This book, as well as the previous book in the series, is filled with action and a great plot without droning on forever, like some fantasy books tend to do. Would certainly recommend ?

This series still gets a 5 out of 5 star rating from me. And I was very happy when Sophia finally started to fight back in chapter 22. And I also had a feeling that she was going to be pregnant with Sebastian's child even though they only had sex once.
