Overview

Lizzy Albanesi is struggling to make ends meet. She works construction during the day and trains as an MMA fighter in the evenings.

When a friend from work goes missing, she decides to find him. After she locates her friend, a police officer suggests she become a private investigator. She takes his advice and starts a private investigations business, which leads to a couple of small cases. Then a man hires her to find a bag of pistols that were stolen from his house. After she finds them, Lizzy finds herself in a case involving smuggling and murder. As the case unfolds, Lizzy sinks into the Detroit criminal underworld with a hired killer on her tail. When she is implicated in a man's death and faces many years in prison, she has to solve the case and bring the guilty parties forward.

Set in Detroit, New Beginnings is a novel in which Lizzy Albanesi moves about the city to solve her case and keep herself alive.
