Overview

An unprecedented behind-the-scenes portrait of the Trump presidency from the anonymous senior official whose first words of warning about the president rocked the nation's capital.

On September 5, 2018, the New York Times published a bombshell essay and took the rare step of granting its writer anonymity. Described only as "a senior official in the Trump administration," the author provided eyewitness insight into White House chaos, administration instability, and the people working to keep Donald Trump's reckless impulses in check.

With the 2020 election on the horizon, Anonymous is speaking out once again. In this book, the original author pulls back the curtain even further, offering a first-of-its-kind look at the president and his record — a must-read before Election Day. It will surprise and challenge both Democrats and Republicans, motivate them to consider how we judge our nation's leaders, and illuminate the consequences of re-electing a commander in chief unfit for the role.

This book is a sobering assessment of the man in the Oval Office and a warning about something even more important — who we are as a people.

Highly recommend. Every vote counts. And matters more than we ever knew.

I did not want to read this book. I did not want it to confirm what my gut told me about this president. Sadly, the book put a microscope up to this president and gave insight to all his actions as well as to his puppets.....actions that I have watched everyday on the news for the last three years. It is scary to think what the soldiers who faught and died in the Revolutionary war, Civil War, WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Wars would think of our president, our Congress, and most importantly of us, the average citizen. I strongly recommended the book......read it and watch the news and listen to the president talk then tell me what double-speak passes the stink test.......

Absolutely frightening.

I am a 77 year old widow who read the entire published Mueller Report. It terrified me and I have been living with quiet desperation for my country ever since. This book has articulated my thoughts and fears for this nation. And it has reinforced them. My only ray of hope has been the testimony of the American heroes in the impeachment hearings. Knowing that someone inside the White House wrote this should give this work compelling credibility, whoever that author may be.P K Drummond

Great book if you really want to know what’s happening in the White House from a person that is totally unstable. The person we call president Chump i mean president Trump.

First off, there truly is not a lot of new information in this book. If you have been paying attetion over the last 3 years you have heard trump say all these quotes in a speech, off the cuff comments on the south lawn, on twitter or at a rally. What is shocking and scary is the back story and how it affects our country as a whole. To the trumpers: step back and take a critical look at everything he has done since taking office. Is this the best we can do? Is this the legacy we want our children to have? We as a nation should demand better than this. Everyone is entitled to their poloitical views and vote accordigly. To the never trumpers: Instead of voicing displeasure and sitting at home doing nothing but posting on social media get involved. Make your voices heard. We can't afford a repeat.

Every American needs to read this book! The proceeds go to non-profit organizations that support government accountability. As you read this, think of Trump as YOUR boss, not President, but boss.

Thoughtful insights into a troubling and dishonorable administration but polished off with intelligent reflections about American historical figures and the lessons we should take from those historical figures and events.

I am saddened by all the rancor and divisive in this country. We have a President that is so vindictve and is consumed by only himself. Just hope his re-election does not come to pass.

Very well written, frightening, yet thought provoking on our current options. We truly face a conundrum today. The author clearly defines potential consequences of each option. I was captivated with this writing and had difficulty in putting this book down. I'd encourage anyone interested in our current political situation take time to read this book.

Truth is important. The future of our country depends on it. It's not personal and it's not partisan.
