I liked the theme of the story. Sweet, funny, loving. Just too much graphic sex that takes away from the story.

This was the first book I have read by Prescott Lane and after reading All My Life I’m wondering why I haven’t come across her before now, I loved this single dad romance and I can’t wait to read more from this very talented author. Garrett became a single dad at 17 when the mother of his daughter Mia walked away from them both being left on his own with a new born he started relying more and more on his best friend Devlin. Devlin was always there for Garrett and his daughter and now Mia is that much older she finds herself wanting more than friendship could Garrett feel the same .......... A beautifully written friends to lovers story with the added attraction of a single dad if you are looking for a love story with the perfect mix of love, sweetness, passion, humour and just the right amount of angst this is the book for you. Great read, looking forward to more from Prescott Lane

4.5 Stars! I LOVED this book! This is the kind of romance I love. One that hits every one of my feels and one I felt all the way to my heart and soul. It’s got all my favorite tropes. Second chance romance. Friends to lovers. Childhood friends. And hot sexy-times. Garrett and Devlyn just worked and their chemistry and the slow build to romance was swoon-worthy, fun and filled with emotions and fantastic writing that captured their amazing story in all the right ways. This book has been put in my re-read pile, in my favorites pile, and in my must-read pile. I’ll be suggesting it to all my friend. Garrett Hollis was sixteen when he became a single father. Now he’s thirty-four and watching his teenage daughter Mia, graduate from high-school. He lives in Eden Valley, the same picturesque small town he grew up in. Having forsaken a potential athletic career and the dream of being an architect to properly raise his daughter, he has no regrets. He’s a great man. He’s a fantastic father. In between changing diapers, learning to braid hair and cleaning up puke, he’s had no time for a social life and his daughter is determined to change that before she heads off to college, which gives some hilarious and sometimes ridiculous dating situations. Devlyn Drake is Biscuit Girl. She’s lived in Eden Valley all her life, too. And she’s Garrett’s best friend. She’s also been secretly in love with him since she was five years old. The moment she found out he was going to be a parent with the girl who stole him from her, she was devastated. But the day he brought Mia home alone, she vowed to always be there for him and Mia. Now having to watch the love of her life date other women, she’s torn between keeping her vow and moving on to find some kind of happiness of her own. These two... Gah! I loved them from the start. Garrett was oblivious until he wasn’t. Devlyn was devoted, always. It might have taken Garrett a long time to catch on, but once he did, their chemistry was explosive. In the meantime, Devlyn’s unrequited love was heartwrenching to read. There were a couple of times her devastation broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes. The author did a perfect job of capturing all those feels and delivering them to the reader. I can’t say enough about this read. It was just amazing from start to finish. I loved Garrett. He was a strong character who had morals and values and passed them on to his daughter Mia. Mia was fun and excited for life. She was a good girl and when life comes crashing down around her, she acted the way a normal teenager would. Devlyn was unique, charismatic, selfless and optimistic, even though her love life had such disappointments. She was always willing to do what was best... even at her own detriment. The author did a phenomenal job writing all the character in this book! I just can’t say enough about that. I fell in love with the town, with the history, with the story and definitely with the characters! Filled with angst, heartbreak and a boatload of feels, not to mention sharp, witty dialogue and fun, enjoyable banter, giving this story deep, satisfying layers.

First book I've read by this author. It was wonderful from beginning to end.

I'm giving it 2 stars because I hate stories about heroines that are sweet & wonderful, in love with their best friend for years (since five years old) & the supposedly equally wonderful hero does not appreciate her & dates other women!

I was pleasantly surprise with this story. I'm so glade it was recommended to me. I really loved Garrett and Devlyn's love story. I'm just happy that Mia seen her mother was bad news and everything she said was a lies and she was not who she portraited her self to be. I loved the way it ended up and Glade that Devlyn and Garrett stayed together.

All My Life is a wonderful contemporary romance story about the intertwining relationship between a single father and his daughter and his childhood best friend. It is an emotional and loving father-daughter story intertwined with an unrequited love turned into a second chance when best friends unexpectedly turn into lovers, that will keep the reader engaged and turning the page. For all her life Devlyn Drake has loved her childhood best friend Garrett Hollis. But for Devlyn, it is an unrequited loved because, at the age of sixteen, Garrett became a teenage single father to Mia, his unexpected blessing, after his summertime girlfriend Sheena didn't want to be a mother and left them after Mia's birth. Fast-forward eighteen years later, Garrett is getting ready to be an empty-nester as Mia is graduating high school and will be leaving for college. All these years Devlyn has been there for Garrett and Mia, but there has never been anything romantic between them, and Devlyn has given up hope of them ever getting together. That is until Mia's graduation speech goes viral after she sends out a wish that her dad would find a nice single lady to date so that he won't be lonely. A parade of women descend on their small town of Eden Valley, Georgia in hopes of winning Garrett's heart, but who would have thought that the right woman for him was right under his nose the whole time? Author Prescott Lane weaves a beautiful romantic tale that takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride as they follow Garrett, Devlyn, and Mia's story. Told in alternating first-person narratives by Garrett and Devlyn, their change in relationship status is wrought with family drama, hurt, betrayal, forgiveness, a tight-knit small-town community, strong bonds of friendship, and the amazing discovery of unrequited love fulfilled. It is a story that tugs at the heartstrings, but will also make the reader a believer in the ability to find true love. You can't help but feel compassion for Garrett, Devlyn, and Mia as their story unfolds with intriguing twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages and hoping that they will get their chance at love and finally becoming a family. I loved how the author draws the reader into Garrett and Devlyn's story with flashbacks to their childhood past intertwined with the present filled with emotional family drama, the surprising reappearance of Sheena, and a longtime friendship that unexpectedly turns into a passionate romance that will send tingles down your spine. I loved the single father-daughter relationship that Garrett and Mia shared, I loved that Garrett gave up his own dreams to build a life for his daughter, he's truly one of the good guys! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the author's rich description of the setting, she easily transports the reader to the small southern town of Eden Springs, Georgia on the outskirts of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the close-knit community spirit that embraced Garrett and Mia throughout the years. All My Life is a beautifully written story of family, friendship, true love, second chances and moving forward in life that will resonate with you for a very long time.

All My Life... Not many of us can us that phrase and be honest. All My Life... This book is pain, love, and friendship. It is happiness at what you have and dreams of everything you knew you never could. It is everything that's ever been in your face and never been noticed. It hurts. Not at first, no. At first, All My Life is smiles, laughs, and train wreck horror (in parade format). With a speech that launches tourism for a sleepy town, the train wreck that ensues is a bystander. It's amusing. It's sweet but it's bittersweet. Seeing both sides creates a gap in our hearts. A grand canyon of hopes. All My Life... Powerful words. A devastatingly accurate phrase. A curse. A plea. A whispered promise. All My Life... Did I mention I'm a soggy, crying mess? Oh yeah, I forgot. Prescott Lane eviscerated my poor bruised heart with a selfless act that would even make the black heart of Satan turn red and start beating. Love is beautiful. Love is hard. But it's also easy. So easy to love this book and the characters in it- most of them! Hard would be to ignore this heartwarming, smile inducing chance at a kiss under a rainbow. Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood

4.5 stars All my Life is the first book I have read by the author and it was certainly a beautiful story that I wasn’t sure would have a happy ending to be quite honest! I love books that are about single fathers and Garrett certainly lived up to his name! He doted and adored Mia, making her his priority and not wanting anything to get in his way even having his friend Devlyn by his side in just about everything they did... This book had a slow burn feel to it and I really sympathized with Devlyn, in all honesty, she had a real heart of gold! Can Garrett open his heart again and love someone? Or has Mia’s birth mother running away caused him to settle for being alone! My emotions were all over the place, I laughed, cried and sighed and I truly wished for a beautiful outcome! I really did enjoy this beautiful story of love that comes when you least expect it or you come to realize what was in front of you... I would definitely want to read more from the author!

For years Devlyn has watched Garrett from the sidelines, she swooned after him in high school, hoping day after day that he would see her and ask her out, only to be passed over for another girl. Then when that girl broke his heart, and left him a single father it was Devlin who stepped in to lighten his load and help out where she could, and she once again found herself dreaming of being his girl, only to find herself stuck in the friend zone. Now with his daughter getting ready to head off to college, and him ready to finally ready to spread his wings a little, and start that next chapter of his life, she can't help but hold out hope that he will see a place for her in that future. For years she has watched him give himself selflessly to his daughters wants and needs, and she has always thought he was a wonderful father, and would make a good husband... especially for her. But getting him to see that is another story entirely... or is it? All My Life is a beautifully crafted story about a woman who has known her "one" since the day that she met him in high school, but unfortunately for her he has never opened his eyes wide enough to see her as anything other than a friend. For years she has wanted him to ask her out, make a pass at her, and every time her wishes have went unanswered, and she has always been stuck on the sidelines. But now that his life is changing she has decided it is time to try and open his eyes, once and for all, and I have to say it was a lot of fun watching her try, I loved watching their relationship blossom. Garrett had dedicated so much of himself to his daughter, and kind of forgot to live a little for himself in the process, so it was also fun to watch him truly realize all that he was missing, and see what he could be outside of his role as a father. This was such a good story, the words were heartfelt and captivating, there were moments that brought smiles, tears, and swoons, and of course the characters were amazing, I didn't want to let them go. Definitely a can't miss read, I highly recommend you get your hands on this one, it promises to bring a case of the feels and leave you smiling! I requested an advanced copy of this title, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

All My Life is a beautiful and sometimes emotional (but mostly fun) contemporary romance about a single father (Garrett), who became one when he was just a teenager. I honestly thought the child would be much younger than she was (because of the cover), so that initially surprised me when I was reading the book. Garrett's daughter Mia just graduated high school, and now is on a mission for her father to finally start dating and fall in love so he won't be alone when she leaves for college. I didn't know how to feel about this direction at first, but further into the story I really started to enjoy it. Garrett had done such a great job in raising Mia, it was really fun seeing the routine they established. Of course Garrett wasn't all alone when he was taking care of his daughter, always in the background was his best friend Devlyn. Who was there every time Garrett needed advise or help with Mia. She loved him all her life, but Garrett was busy with being a single dad to notice her. However, with all the blind-dates his daughter was setting him up with, he finally saw what he needed was in front of him all his life. All My Life, isn't just a single father/friends-to-lovers contemporary romance, it is so much more. It is about a relationship between a father and daughter. And how much he had to sacrifice to give her a good life. I am super proud of Garrett and his accomplishments, and of course for being and amazing dad. I also loved that Devlyn was so dedicated to both Garrett and Mia. This book started out very fun and light-hearted, but it also had a couple of very emotional scenes that really packed a punch. I honestly couldn't contain my tears. Which is always a good thing while I am reading a book, because that means I could really connect with the characters and their feelings. My favorite scenes were between Mia and Devlyn, I just loved their dynamic. Furthermore, the short flashbacks were a great touch in me understanding the history between the characters better. There were also lots of hot and steamy scenes, which I really enjoyed reading. I am definitely looking forward to reading more books by Prescott Lane!

All My Life by Prescott Lane is a standalone contemporary friends-to-lovers romance. Told in dual POV between Devlyn and Garrett the book opens with the high school valedictorian speech given by Garrett's daughter Mia and takes the reader on a wild trip into the lives of Garrett, Mia, Devlyn and how they came to be where they are at this crossroads in all their lives. Passionate, well-written and well-paced, this story was epic and awesome and I loved every minute of it. Devlyn has been in love with Garrett since the moment she laid eyes on him and they were best friends ever since. At fifteen, Devlyn experienced a switch in their friendship when an outsider came to their sleepy town for the summer. Garrett fell for Sheena and left Devlyn on the outside, still his best friend but she felt the loss of him when his romantic interest was turned to this newcomer. When Sheena returns months later, pregnant, Devlyn knows that is it for her. Determined now to be the best friend he could ever want - she is there for him the entire pregnancy and all the years he raised his daughter. Garrett was the one the town thought would get the football scholarship and go away to a great college, but when he becomes the teen parent and pariah of the town only Devlyn is there for him. Thanks to her solid friendship the town softens towards his outcast status and when he is left to parent alone, they all start to help in whatever ways they can. The whole town becomes "adoptive" parents of Mia. When things shift between Devlyn and himself he starts to question everything he thought he knew about the past 18 years. He sees everything in a different, much clearer light. Finally he is ready to give Devlyn everything she deserves and more and then a blast from the past shows back up ad throws everyones lives into turmoil. Loved this! Enjoy!

Beautiful, Sweet but Hot and Swoony, too! I absolutely adored this story!! It is everything that is beautiful, sweet, romantic, and sexy, too. It has the perfect small town feel that just made me want to pack up and move to Eden Valley!! “She’s loved me in her own way—quiet, secret, soft. She didn’t ask me for anything, she knew I couldn’t give it. Her love is unselfish and pure and given without ever knowing if I’d love her back.” Garrett became a dad when he was not much more than a child himself. The person who stood by him through it all was Devlyn, his best friend. But now his daughter Mia is graduating from high school and Garrett is opening his eyes and seeing what has been right in front of him all along. “Guess you missed me,” I tease. She pulls back, looking into my eyes. “I’ve been missing you all my life.” “We only just . . .” She runs her fingers through my hair. “All my life.” Single dad, devoted to his daughter, friends to lovers, small town... what more do I need to say except that this story is all that and done so beautifully that after I turned the last page I just wanted to sit and hug my e-reader to hold on to the story as long as I could. -5 Stars!!-

I am a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope and All My Life fit that. Garrett and Devlyn grew up together and even though Devlyn has always loved Garrett...Garrett was raising his daughter alone so his attention was always focused on her, Mia. Bring in a b*tch of an ex who just wants to cause problems, emotions will be high!! Overall, this was a good read; however, I felt Mia’s character could have been a bit more mature in her actions and mannerisms. Reviewed by: Dana D.

I’ve seen a few complaints about how much time has gone by with Devlyn sitting on the sidelines of Garrett & Mia’s life buuuut I think because Lane gives us both of their points of view we really have an understanding of where they are coming from. And come on, men (especially romance story heroes) can be so clueless about love, life, and feelings. And once he caught on he didn’t really waste any time :) You definitely have to admire Garrett’s dedication to his daughter. At 17 he stepped up and made himself into a wonderful dad and has spent the past couple of decades giving everything to Mia. He’s adorable and I loved their relationship together. You can see why, even if it is a little sad, that Devlyn has spent so long pining for him. And I think that is what readers most have an issue with. They see her as a doormat, letting the Hollis family walk all over her for 20 years. And while Garrett’s obliviousness can be a bit frustrating, it is very believable. Lane does a good job of explaining why their friendship has basically been in a holding pattern for so long and making you feel it with them as they contemplate changing it now. It’s scary, but with a little faith and love they can figure it out. **Review given honestly and freely after receipt of a reader copy. This opinion is completely my own and was not influenced in any way.**

Sweet small town romance. Gah!! This book left me in a pile of melted goo. It was so sweet, but still managed to have a tiny little bit of an edge to it. Garrett and Devlynn have been friends most of their lives and Devlynn has loved and been in love with him for most of that time. She was too shy and insecure to tell him before his heart was stolen by another. But, that teenage romance never lasted and left Garrett as a single dad. His daughter, Mia became his whole focus and he never looked for love elsewhere. Not even right under his nose. Devlynn has been there for him and Mia for nearly eighteen years but during Mia’s graduation speech, she sets off a series of events that lead to Garrett finally seeing Devlynn as more than just a friend. But can friends really become lovers, and what happens when a face from both their pasts returns to stir up trouble? Will they make it through to the end? I loved this book. It has all the warm, feel good emotions rolling around inside it. Garrett was hot and had a dirty mouth and mind and Devlynn was just perfect for him.

I'm a sucker for a single dad romance and this was a good one. Plus it's a friends to lovers story and that's my favorite troupe. This is one that hit me right in the heart. It's a beautiful story and the last chapter was just perfect. I loved all the characters, but Devlin was my favorite character. She's sacrificed a lot to help the man she has always wanted. It's very selfless of her. Plus with the flashbacks you can see she has a backbone for those she loves. I appreciated the flashbacks because it was sweet moments with Garrett and his daughter when she was younger. There are a lot of sweet moments in the book, but it also brings a little heat. I enjoyed the small town setting. The one negative is the cover because Garrett's daughter is getting ready to graduate high school not a little girl, but I understand the cover is to show it's a single dad romance. Over all a very enjoyable story that sucked me right in.

3.5 STARS! I haven’t read a a Prescott Lane book in a while but when I saw a single father/friends to lovers story, I was excited to pick this one up. Heartfelt, emotional, and that small town feel I love, I enjoyed this book. Garrett had Mia when he was 16 years old... going from the town hero to ostracized in the snap of a finger. But Devlyn his best friend never gave up on him, always staying by his side to raise his beloved daughter. Now 18 years old, Mia is about to go to college while worrying about her young dad being alone, never truly living his life. With a little bit of meddling on her part, he is forced on some dates never realizing what was always right in front of him. And let’s not even get into when the mother who left Mia as a baby returns to town to claim her “right” to be in her daughter’s life... ugh! There were so many things I loved about this story... the love between a father and his daughter, Mia’s relationship with Devlyn and of course the grandfather. The sexy times were hot and I was beyond ecstatic for Garrett to finally have his eyes opened to who was always there for him! But that’s where I also had a problem honestly... it took Garrett EIGHTEEN YEARS to figure out how much Devlyn meant to him! When she basically helped raise his child and put her life on hold, he didn’t realize the treasure he always had. It made me so mad because I wanted MORE for Devlyn... she deserved MORE! I can’t even get into them waiting to tell Mia at the return of her birth mother because why did this good woman always have to wait?!?!? And I know that Mia is young and didn’t intentionally mean to hurt Devlyn with her words but I was frustrated with her initial trust of her birth mother... a woman she never knew and could invest so much into her from day 1. I would have assumed there would be more skepticism, but she was won over very quickly :( I did enjoy this book very much honestly... the writing was very good, the story intriguing to the point I couldn’t put it down. I just wish some things were different. I would most definitely read this author again!

For an author to take her time with each book she puts out you can only hope that all the build up to each book is like nothing you have ever read.... Prescott Lane is an incredible author who I eagerly grab her book each time I know she’s going to release one because I KNOW she will deliver an epic book. This one had me worried like no other, excited for more each chapter, scared for the future, in tears over the amount of love this town and characters have for each other that is will be the book to read of the year. Everyone needs to read this book! Devlyn is one amazing woman who is the best friend you hope you have in your life. She sticks by Garrett and Mia for the entire time that she is needed and even more than that she wants to be there. I loved getting to know her and see her grow as a woman who knows what she wants and even in the end when she does what she does out of love. Cried HARD!!! Mia, Garrett’s daughter, sounds like an impressive young lady who grows up in this small town with everyone having a hand in helping raise her. Small town life is amazing but can also leave you without an opened mind to more. Mia is different than most girls and at moments got upset with some of the things she says but could totally see a teenage girl saying those things without thinking they could hurt anyone. I did it and I have regrets. Garrett is the dad in a small town and a single dad who had all eyes on him most of the time. He was a young dad who did his best for his one and only girl in his life, his daughter. The way these two would interact would have everyone wishing they had that type of relationship with their father. I had so many emotions during this book but end the end I always had love. Love for the people of this small town, love of Garrett and even love of Garrett’s dad, Edward. I love that Prescott had such an amazing story to tell of not only Garrett but of the entire town in some small form. I truly felt like I was sitting in my house in that town reading and would soon walk out to the latticework on the houses. Thank you for some inspiring words! Congrats on this best seller!

***4.5 Stars*** Single parent? Best Friends to Lovers? Um. Yes. Please. Those are two tropes that reel me in and I have to say I really enjoyed All My Life. It did surprise me a bit at the start, in a good way, but once I got over that and got deeper into the book (well, into the first two chapters) I found I really liked the route the author took with Devlyn and Garrett’s journey. It was sweet, funny, full of heart and was easy to get lost in and want more when everything was said and done. It was hard to NOT fall in love with Garrett. He adores his daughter and puts her first in every way possible, but does in such a way that he doesn’t spoil her rotten. This isn’t to say that he doesn’t carve out a little time for himself, because he does, but it never interferes with her needs. He’s a little cynical when it comes to a romantic kind of love, but his heart isn’t as cold and walled off as he thinks it is. Now, considering how this book starts off, I will admit that I had pictured Devlyn in a certain light before even meeting her, and it wasn’t a horrible one, just a little...greyish. But after meeting her I can readily admit I was wrong (see one should never assume anything). She’s vibrant, sassy and comfortable in her own skin. She loves her job and is one of those people who gives simply because it’s the right thing to do. Garrett and Devlyn’s journey to their HEA was a fun one. The situation that was the catalyst to jump starting their romance wasn’t expected, but was a definitely unique and I really enjoyed how things evolved between them. In some ways things happened quickly, but considering how long they knew each other, it worked for me. I loved their bantering and even though they had their awkward moments, there was a flow between them that worked. The bumps in the road had me growling, not gonna lie, but I loved how everything worked out in the end for them. I’ve waffled over explaining more about why I was surprised in the beginning, but as the synopsis doesn’t reveal it, I’m going to follow suit. What I can say is that I really did enjoy the route the author took with this one and how she showed me who the characters were in the past and present. As for Mia, I loved the girl. I did. She was vibrant and acted as I expected a girl of her age to act and react. So if you love the whole single parent/best friends to lovers trope and are looking for a fun, sweet read with a lot of heart, then this is a must read! ~ Copy provided by Social Butterfly PR & voluntarily reviewed ~

5 Stars!! I’m just sitting here wondering where this story has been... ALL MY LIFE! All I have to say to Prescott Lane is... I want more, no I need more!! I loved it! I loved the humor, the love, and the relationships between all the characters. The relationships between Garrett and his dad, Mia and Devlyn, and of course Garrett and Mia. Every relationship had its own special bond that was perfect. I loved Garrett. From start to finish, he had me crushing on him! He had Mia young, but he did the best he could do at such a young age. He grew to be a wonderful, caring father to her. I also liked Devlyn. I felt so sad for her, always being on the outside looking in, while hoping to win over Garrett’s heart. She was the best friend anyone could have, and I loved that she never let Garrett down when he was all alone. Reading about them growing up and then watching them fall for each other was amazing! I loved their bond, and I loved that Garrett was always trying to tease her. He was always capable of turning every scenario into a sexual innuendo! “A little bit of you,” she says, leaning up and kissing me sweetly. “I only need a little bit of you.” “I’ll have to remember that,” I say, flashing her a grin. “You only need the tip.” “Garrett,” she laughs, playfully swatting my shoulder. Planting a kiss on her lips, I say, “You have all of me.” He could be playful one minute and loving the next. He seriously is the full package. Literally Bahaha!! See? I just had to give Garrett a little innuendo of his own! So, as you can see from above, I really enjoyed All My Life. If your looking for a playful, yet serious story, this would be great one for you! This is the first book I’ve read by Prescott Lane and it definitely won’t be my last!! -Juls
