Overview
As always, it has been an extreme joy to work on this set of short stories. When I created the American Royalty miniseries, it was my goal to create a limited television series and nothing else. I wanted to show a typical American family reaching for the American Dream. As I wrote the final lines of the finale episode, it dawned on me that I'd created too many characters. Scores of people whose stories were not even touched had been invented. They talked to me; they lived with me. The voices of those characters spun around in my head on a daily basis. They walked through my brain taking the footsteps of giants and begging for an exit. They would not let me rest a single night until I committed to telling their stories. They were people, as real to me as the students I teach. They love and want to be loved. They needed a home like everyone else. Enter: American Royalty, the Book series. As the stories kept coming, I kept writing. As the characters begged me to tell you how they met the love of their life, one book became two; two books became three. I hope you will enjoy all three books of the series, as they tell a complete story. How some of my favorite characters met, fell in love and became the forever enduring Daniels Clan.
