Analysis of High Spatial Resolution Remote Sensing Imagery: An Object Based Approach / Edition 1 available in Hardcover
- Pub. Date:
- Taylor & Francis
This book introduces a framework for analysis of high spatial resolution imagery with an object based approach. Starting with image pre-processing to deal with noise, the book presents a detailed survey of major image segmentation approachesfrom simple thresholding to relatively advanced multi-resolution region extraction. Approaches to region indexing and a detailed discussion of classification techniques are presented along with examples of high-resolution image classification for extracting specific objects such as roads, buildings, vegetation, and land use/land cover maps.
