Canterwood Crest THE VERDICT
THE LEADER OF THE TRIO STOOD FROZEN IN the doorway of the Winchester common room. I never imagined I’d live to see perfect, fierce Heather Fox looking this way. Her face was pale. Her usually glossed lips were bare and her mascara smudged.

My stomach tightened. The news about Julia’s and Alison’s fate couldn’t be good.

“Heather, what happened?” I asked again. “What? Tell me.” I slid off the couch and stood, facing her.

She walked to the fireplace and wrapped her arms across her chest.

“Heather—” I started.

Her blue eyes were teary when she looked at me. “It’s so awful,” she said. “Julia and Alison. They—” Heather buried her face in her hands and, in that moment, I forgot we were enemies.

“C’mon,” I said. I put my hand on her elbow and guided her toward the couch. I sat beside her, surprised when she didn’t snap at me to get out of her space.

After a few seconds she sat up straighter and began to talk.

“I waited in Orchard for Julia and Alison,” Heather said. “When they finally showed up, they were a mess. They were sobbing. I mean, I could barely understand them.”

“Okay,” I coaxed. “Then what?”

“Julia said that Headmistress Drake called their parents,” Heather said. “She told them that Julia and Alison had cheated on their history exam. Alison said they told the headmistress a million times they hadn’t, but Drake insisted there was proof.”

Heather sighed, rubbing her temples. Whatever she was about to say, I knew it was bad.

Heather took a deep breath, turning to me. Her face was blank. “Julia and Alison got kicked off the advanced team.”

Here is yet another example of Jessica Burkhart's natural talent and voice. Canterwood Crest: Best Enemies is the fifth book in the Canterwood Crest Series. It combines horses, drama, and lip gloss together in a way that catches the reader and draws them in instantly. It is entertaining, absorbing, and funny. Jessica Burkhart's unique and captivating voice brings the CC characters to life. The CC girls are relatable and fascinating with real-life problems, thoughts, actions, and situations. Every character is unique and fun. This book is the perfect recipe with a mix of good characters, fun horses, and drama filled situations (but always with a touch of humor). Jessica Burkhart may easily be one of best tween/teen writers in the world. She really knows how to make the books fun, yet dramatic; serious, yet funny; horsey, yet not overly horsey. She has an amazing gift and writes with a voice that will take you over and draw you in effortlessly. I always am excited for the next book and they have never failed to thrill me. Here is my take on Canterwood Crest: Best Enemies: 12-year-old Sasha Silver has just patched up every last hole in her troubled life at the elite Canterwood Crest Academy. She is not lying, keeping secrets, or having issues with riding. Everything is perfect. Until she senses some suspicious behavior. She pushes that away and tests for the YENT, or Youth Equestrian National Team. Of the five other people on the advanced team with her, two have cheated on a test and were banned from riding. They deny it and Sasha kind of believes them. The others all have fancy training and are great riders. After the testing is over Sasha discovers a secret that could destroy her newly perfected life. Will Sasha make the YENT? More importantly, who and what is this confession about? Find out the answers in Canterwood Crest: Best Enemies. This is one of my favorite CC book yet. It's just too perfect in the beginning, until Sasha starts to worry about numerous things. But it is nice to see the happy side of Sasha, yet it isn't the whole book so there is still drama. I am positive you will love this book as much as me. I would recommend this book to girls, ages 9-15. Even if you aren't horse crazy I bet you will love this book! Seek your answers in Canterwood Crest: Best Enemies!

Jessica burkhart couldn't put it in a better way: Jas makes Heather look tame. Watch out Sasha, Jasmine is beyond mean. She's cruel. With the YENT (Youth Equestrian National Team) tryouts coming up and finals, Sasha is superstressed. Wil everything be okay in the end? ~Horse-luhv

Best Enemies was, like the rest of the series, absolutely fabulous! I can't get Sasha's story out of my head, and the books are highly addictive! I read them in a couple hours, and then spend the next 2 months re-reading them, until the next ones come out! The covers are adorable, and Jessica makes it easy to follow the stories with her Blogspot Blog, where she posts almost everyday. I would recommend it to almost anyone!!!!!!

Sasha and her team are about to compete for a spot on the YENT team. They're desperately trying to practice as much as possible, but also attempting to balance school (including finals), friends, and boys. Now that the secret's out, Eric and Sasha gear up for their first date at the movies. They run into Jacob and Callie, where awkward vibes ruin their chances at ever double dating. Eric and Sasha can't even make it through the movie without wanting to chat with each other. since they've moved from friends to a couple, sitting in silence doesn't work for them. But Sasha's about to get the surprise of her life as they move their date somewhere else. Sasha's trying hard not to freak out too much about the competitions and keep a level head when it comes to school work and also Jasmine. Jas spends her time trash talking the rest of the team and playing mind games. Sasha can't help rise to the bait a few times, but will she let Jas get into her head on the big day? Will Sasha be spending the summer at a grueling training session with YENT or back home at her small town stables? The fifth book in the series adds more drama, romance, and friendship gets back on track with the reuniting of Sasha and her BFF. I adore the first date scene - including the prep time for the date. I'd love to go to this school - but I might not like dealing with Heather and Jas. A great series all around - pure entertainment with super cute covers.

Jas is fake, but so is Heather. Both girls act like they're the Queen Bee at Canterwood. That's me, as you know. So buy the book. Keep in mind I'M the Queen. Posted By Queen Bee at Canterwood

So... Jasmine is living in Winchester with her (NOT!) BFF Sasha, and then Jaz frames Julia and Alison for cheating on a test. SO.TOTALLY. UNFAIR! Then, Jacob the Jerk says that HE WANTS SASHA BACK! Sasha just runs away crying and thinks that Jacob the Jerk is too late, but she's wrong. Jacob and Sasha have a nice smooch and Eric catches them. Sasha still wants Eric back, but I think Sasha never should have ever gotten into boys. Sure, it might have been hard NOT to set her sights on Jacod the Jerk. But it would have been worth it in my opinion. I've rated some other canterwood crest books so check those out if u want. Bye! ;)

OMG! Best Enemies is awesome! I can't believe Jacob was actually brave enough to tell Sasha that he still likes her!!!!!!!!!!<3 Callie would of made it to the YENT team if Jasmin King wouldn't go! I can't wait to read the 6th book!
