Break Me is a coming of age story – of two people who have loved and lost, and are extremely guarded of what remains. It’s a standalone novel, but also part of a series.  Brealynn Sutton is returning to college after experiencing betrayal from who she thought was the love of her life, and she’s ready to live life on her own terms. With her best friend Kelsey at her side, the world is her oyster – college parties and all.  Colt Taylor is returning after the loss of his mother, the one person that was his constant in his own personal chaos. A pro-BMX rider, he spends his time focused on his tricks and climbing the ladder of success, until Brealynn distracts him.  While they’ve admired each other from afar, timing and circumstances have kept them apart… now, it’s just a matter of letting down the walls they’ve built up and extending trust to one another. Not to mention finding a balance with all they hold dear.  As a debut author, Ashley has created a world of characters who are constantly crossing paths and warring with themselves as well their  inner fears and desires. There are moments of intensity surrounded by humor at just the appropriate moments, and you’ll end this book feeling a little broken-hearted that you can’t go take shots with Brea and Kelsey, or watch Colt and his brother Parker compete. Lucky for you, this is just the beginning of this fun-loving group – so don’t hesitate to pick up a copy! You won’t be sorry.
