In 1995, Gadfly Records released an album of material recorded in 1973 by the late Kate Wolf. The hallmarks of Wolf's later work are evident; her breathy intimate vocals, the mid-tempo tunes about delicate connections and the human spirit. This album is stripped down, totally acoustic with assistance from musicians Davied Coffin and Lionel Kilberg. The somber quality that make so many of her recordings seem timeless can be heard on "There Are No Medals for Loneliness," and "Help." "You Can't Go Back," however is a real spirit lifter.
