About the Author
As a poet, Dr. Gray uses her voice to express her gratitude for her gift and purpose. As an educator, she endeavors to inspire others toward theirs. She is a writer, speaker and singer dedicated to using the creative process for education, inspiration, motivation and healing.
As an advocate of global literacy through arts education, Dr. Gray lends her time and talent to the Dallas Public Library as an "Artist in Residence". She is presently promoting the library's "Express Yourself Poetry Competition" (https://dallaslibrary2.org/poetryCompetition/index.php) by conducting workshops to Dallas (TX) ISD students.
Dr. Gray holds a B.A. and M.A. in Religious Studies and a Ph.D. in Psychology. She uses her educational background to inform her writing. She is the author of five poetry collections and two daily devotionals, and has a syndicated blog entitled, "The Lotus Note" (lotusnote.wordpress.com). Her most recent poetry collection, "Bearing Witness" is available on Amazon and through retail booksellers. Dr. Gray provides editing, publishing and marketing assistance to emerging writers of all ages.
