A Spanish couple invites a stranded cat named Flynn into their home and offers him to be part of their family. Flynn must follow and be respectful to their rules in the house. This is a great book for a read aloud because it would bring a different culture and language to the children. Also, this book can be a starting point for children learning how to speak Spanish.
A lovely book about a nice Hispanic couple who take in a cat named Flynn they find sleeping on their front porch. They inform Flynn that "Mi casa es su casa." My home is your home. They then go on to teach Flynn all the rules of their home. They ask him to dress for dinner, wash his paws, sit at the table correctly, and all the basic manners etc. It helps that Flynn seems to be smarter than your average cat and that he can talk. The book introduces some basic phrases in Spanish and promptly translates them in English. It would be great for children who are, or are learning to be, bilingual.
