About the Author

Marion Lennox was a country kid, a tomboy and a maths nerd, but whenever she went missing her family knew she’d be up a gum tree reading romance novels. Climbing trees and dreaming of romance – what’s not to love? – but it wasn’t until she was on maternity leave from her ‘sensible’ career, teaching statistics to undergraduates, that she finally tried to write one. Marion’s now a multi-award winning author of over had a hundred romance novels. She’s given up climbing trees. (They seem to have grown higher since she was a child!) She now dreams her stories while she walks her dog or paddles her kayak or pokes around rock pools at low tide. It’s a tough life but she’s more than ready for the challenge.

A beautifully written story with love, compassion and a Christmas miracle. Max Ramsey's good friend and neighbor, Harold Leishman, is dying. He will do anything to protect what little bit he has left from his ex-wife and step-daughter's greedy fingers. When Max walks into the hospital room to visit Harold, he sees a beautiful young lady sitting by his bedside. He will do anything he can to keep her from taking anything else from him. Sarah Carlton is a model and came all the way from New York to be with Harold. She wants to take him home for Christmas. Being home for Christmas will be the best gift for him. Formally a nurse, she insists she can handle taking care of him. But Max has his doubts. It got really interesting when Max's sister and her family showed up unexpectedly. I laughed and cried reading this book. I wish it had been longer because I wasn't ready for the story to end.

This is book #1 in Christmas Around the World books. Sarah is in New York with a big time modeling career. When she was young she had needed Harold to fill in as a grandpa. Now Harold is wanting to spend one last Christmas on his homestead in Waratah Bay. So since Sarah is obligated to help out, she takes on the challenge. Christmas is a bit challenging for Sarah. But since it is Harold, she prepares to fly half way around the world for him. There is one big problem, though. Harold doesn't own Waratah Bay Homestead anymore. It now belongs to a farming tycoon named Max Ramsey. He doesn't like having company and he doesn't like Sarah. The two of them clash, and sparks are flying. Sarah's not so hot about baking and doesn't know how many enemies it will take to cook the Christmas turkey. This is a story of family; some are blood related, some are not. It was nice to read about a holiday set in another country. I really enjoyed it. .

This is a charming and heartwarming Christmas romance surrounded by family. Max questions Sarah's return as Harold is nearing the end of his life. Though Max doesn't know Harold's former "step-daughter," he knows how the family left Harold, so Max doesn't trust her. Sarah has determined to give Harold the best Christmas ever, most likely his last. And she'll do it with or without Max's help. But as they work together, secrets, truths, and the past are revealed which binds them together. A few unexpected surprises add excitement to the holiday. Sarah's plan was to leave after Christmas, but can the lure of family, a resolution for her contract, and a possibility of a future with Max be enough? This touched my heart! Treat yourself to this sweet story!

Max had plans for a quiet Christmas at home. No one would be around to bother him, total solitude just like he enjoyed. As Max walked into Harold’s hospital room and saw Sarah, one of Harold’s evil step daughters, Max didn’t realize just how crazy and chaotic his Christmas was about to become. This was a take on the Cinderella fairy tale which I really enjoyed. I was a little disappointed that the ending did not include a confrontation with Sarah’s other sisters. A part of me really would have liked to see that due to the pain caused to Sarah.
