Next stop: Pain and heartache, coming right up...
Ivy McLain's grand scheme of making it big? Yeah, it's going nowhere fast. Every day, her dreams of a fabulous art career are fading a little more. And just when she didn't believe things could get any worse, her parents plan their huge 40th anniversary party.
In December.
In cold, snowy Podunk, Idaho.
It's been five years since Ivy's stepped foot in her hometown, and that was on purpose, thankyouverymuch. The oversized wide spot in the road holds nothing but truly awful memories for her.
All right, fine.
She's stuck having to return, and she's stuck playing the part of a dutiful daughter, but that doesn't mean she has to like it.
All of that changes the moment she meets a rugged cowboy with a slow and sexy smile.
Okay, bowls him over and spills his drink everywhere. Details, details...

Up next: A girl to tear your heart apart...
Austin Bishop is hiding from the world in the small, mountain town of Sawyer, Idaho.
Okay, maybe not from the world, but definitely from the females of the world.
It isn't that he thinks they have cooties. After all, he'd had a childhood sweetheart who he'd loved with all of his heart and soul for five years...right up until she dumped him. Receiving her engagement ring in the mail wasn't exactly the Christmas present he'd been hoping for that year.
That's all behind him, though. He is girl-free, and thrilled to be that way. Never better. Couldn't be happier, actually.
All the way up until he runs, quite literally, into the most beautiful, curvy redhead he's ever seen in his life. Suddenly, canoodling under the mistletoe seems like the best Christmas activity this side of eating homemade snickerdoodles. A fling with no strings attached? There's no better way to celebrate the holidays.
Except, partway through the twelve days of Christmas, it stops being a fling and starts feeling like a whole lot more.
But Ivy is hiding secrets, and so is he.

When their secrets unravel, can their relationship last? Or will their Christmas romance fizzle once the eggnog runs out?

Christmas of Love is the fifth novella in the Long Valley world, although all books in the Long Valley world can be read as standalones. It is a sweeter romance with minimal sex and mild language. Enjoy!

Ivy has returned home after too many years away. She has been following her dreams, or so everybody thinks. Austin doesn’t trust women easily after what happened with her ex-fiancée. However, he can’t get Ivy out of his mind. Both of them have secrets and they feel insecure. They are afraid of the other person knowing them. The book is well-written and easy to read. A beautiful Christmas story to read on a cold evening, sitting down by the fireplace. The characters are likeable and you will fall in love with them. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

Sweet, sexy, thrilling and redeeming romantic journey that will warm your heart and leave you with all the best kind of warm fuzzes. Perfect love story to get you in the holiday mood. Ivy McLain is sweet, sassy and looking to make her dreams as an artiest come true, not looking for true love specifically in the home town she ran from for very good reasons. Austin Bishop is rugged, handsome, sweet, charming and in no way looking for the love of his life, not after the last time his heart was stomped in the dust. Sparks fly and chemistry will not be denied, loved this highly entertaining holiday romance.

A beautiful love story that grabs your attention and keeps you enthralled. Ivy is gone visiting her family. She meets Austin whose been there for a while. I've had allot of angst from growing up in the town while Austin has his own issues. They are drawn to each other but each are lying to themselves. When deceptions are revealed, hurt and anger take over. A beautiful poignant story about two lost should finding each A great read!! Wright continues to grow as an author and has the uncanny ability to develop characters you will love in a small amount of literary space. Christmas of Love is a novella that is certainly worth your time. It is filled with secrets and old hurts that define the characters' perspective on their current situations and relationships. Wright delves into a current societal issue in this novella as well. There is so much packed in this book. It is a highly recommended, must read this holiday season. I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

This story touched me, as I was bullied in school. Like Ivy, I left for the military as soon as I graduated. I understand why Ivy hid who she was, but to hide herself from her family was completely wrong. I loved Austin and understand his hurt when all is revealed. Fortunately for me, my husband was my best friend first before we fell in love. Those of you who understand what someone goes through that is bullied knows the heartache and pain that is inflicted on one's self esteem and soul. Erin Wright wrote this story knowing the pain that is inflicted upon our souls. Ivy learns to rise above her past and reach for the one thing that heals our soul, love.

Ivy has always felt that she loved in her sister's shadow. Iris was wonderful at everything and she could do nothing. Add to that two nemesis, who made her life hell by tormenting her, all through school, and Ivy feels she has plenty of reasons to me miserable. The only thing that keeps her young is her art. She grows to hate the small town she grew up in. She left right after graduation. Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tries, Ivy isn't happy in her new life. She waits tables to get by and tries to build up her art business. Ivy comes home for her parents' anniversary party and runs into the hottest guy. Sparks fly, until one of the girls who taunted her comes up and latches on to him. Through a series of events, Ivy winds up stuck in her hometown for a few extra weeks. She realizes that because of her absence, everything she has back in San Francisco will be gone. She worries over this and how to tell her family. But in the meantime, she gies out on a few dates with the hunk from the anniversary party and falls in love. He has no clue what her life is really like either. Finally, Ivy can no longer live with the deception. She blurts everything out. Will she be able to rebuild her relationship with the hunk and her family? This book is great. I anxiously await anything that Erin Wright writes. This latest addition to the Long Valley series didn't disappoint. This is an honest review. I received a copy of this book from the author.

This is a very sweet love story. A story where the main female character learns to love...herself and along the way finds that special someone who sees what she discovers

A Love Worth Waiting For I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Christmas Of Love by Erin Wright. What a marvelous early Christmas present, an Erin Wright ARC to read and a Christmas one too!! Every book of Erin’s that I’ve read has been a treat to treasure but this one the best by far! I’ve come to love the Long Valley “family” and can’t wait for each new one to come out. Can 2 troubled souls find a way through their pain to healing and love together?
