About the Author

Emlyn&’Tricia Williams worked with Scripture Union for many years. Emlyn led Schools ministry, then worked with SU International. Retired from his role as discipleship pastor in a local church, Emlyn now continues his writing and talking ministries.
Emlyn&’Tricia Williams worked with Scripture Union for many years. ’Tricia was part of the Schools team and later worked for SU Publishing, developing, writing and editing Bible resources. Having recently completed research in the area of faith and dementia, she continues with writing and editing faith resources.
Glenda and her husband live in Melbourne, Australia. With a background in counselling, pastoral ministries and school chaplaincy, Glenda now works part time in pastoral care in a large city hospital. Adult children come and go regularly, and visits with mum, theological study, supervision ministry and Pilates all ‘stretch’ her days to the full.
Richard teaches Old Testament at Cranmer Hall in Durham, and is Associate Minister at St Mary’s Sherburn.
Having been a teacher, an SU schools worker and a local church minister, Phil is now a hospital chaplain. He worships in one of Milton Keynes’ ecumenical congregations.
Ali is the vicar of All Saints, Isleworth. She is married to Steve. She is kept on her toes by a lively and joyful Border Terrier called Flora.
Angus Moyes is SU Scotland’s East Team Leader and a recent editor of Daily Bread. He is dad to three little girls and balances a house full of princesses and unicorns with hill running and camping.
David Bruce is a minister of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, and a former General Director of SU in Northern Ireland. He is married to Zoe (who is a school teacher) and they have four adult children and one granddaughter. They live in Lisburn, near Belfast.
Rachel has spent most of her working life teaching English to teenagers, from Manchester to the Middle East. She enjoys adventuring in the outdoors and sharing food as often as possible. She tries to be intentional about finding joy in the everyday and encouraging others in their lives and faith.
John Gay is a Cornishman, married with two children. Following in Jesus’ footsteps, he trained as a carpenter and is now a shepherd as Team Vicar in the Brixham Mission Community.
Helen Franklin first got involved with Scripture Union in Wales at the Abersoch beach mission – she would be a member of the team for the next 34 years! She is now Scripture Union’s Cymru church and community development worker.
