Thanks to the carelessness of a cute little dog, newlyweds Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin are killed in a freak auto accident. Upon arriving in the outer offices of Heaven, the couple finds that, thanks to a century's worth of bureaucratic red tape, they're on a long celestial waiting list. Before they can earn their wings, Davis and Baldwin must occupy their old house as ghosts for the next fifty years. Alas, the house is now owned by insufferable yuppies Catherine O'Hara and Jeffrey Jones. Horrified at the prospect of sharing space with these obnoxious interlopers, Davis and Baldwin do their best to scare O'Hara and Jones away, but their house-haunting skills are pathetic at best. In desperation, the ghostly couple engage the services of a veteran scaremeister: a yellow-haired, snaggle-toothed, profane, flatulent "gonzo" spirit named Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton). The problem: Beetlejuice cannot be trusted-especially when he falls in love with O'Hara and Jones' gloomy, black-clad teenaged daughter Winona Ryder. Beetlejuice producer David Geffen, director Tim Burton, and composer Danny Elfman were also involved in an animated TV-series spin-off.

This is a classic mixture of horror and comedy. It's mostly silly, but it has excellent imagery. Michael Keaton delivers one of his best perfromances. It's one of those movies you want around to watch over and over.

This is a fabulously fun, funky absolute riot to watch and to own and watch again...and again.

Beetlejuice was a really good movie! It was interesting and I thought all the characters were well portrayed by the actors who played them. It's a great movie to watch when you're looking for a laugh and just a great movie period.

I've been watching this movie since i was born. Tim Burton is the undisputed champion of the dark fantasy and with this, he proves he can also master the dark fantasy comedy.

Michael Keaton is ghoulishly funny in this wonderful blend of horror and humor. Enjoyable family viewing on a Halloween night. Invite the neighborhood goblins over.

I love Beetlejuice. I used to watch the cartoon and even though i dont watch that anymore I still enjoy the movie. Micheal Keaton is really funny and a good actor he did well on his part. Winona Rider is always good at whatever she does...she was good as Lidia.

Beetlejuice is surely one of the funniest movies around. It has many well-done spoofs, crazy creatures, and dazzling music and special effects. Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, and Winona Ryder are all in their primes, as well as Michael Keaton's lead role as Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice is a classic and is sure to go down in history.
