On the Edge

Director: John Carney Cast: Cillian Murphy, Jonathan Jackson, Stephen Rea

DVD (Wide Screen / DTS)

Overview

John Carney's humorous coming-of-age film On the Edge comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.0. French and Spanish subtitles are accessible, and both soundtracks are closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a theatrical trailer and production notes. This Universal release offers excellent picture and sound quality, but offers little else.

I thought this was an amazing and breath taking movie. I love dark comedies, and most movies that have not so very happy endings, but empowering ones. His journey, is so powerful and full of emotion, that you can't help but be sucked in.
