One man, one woman, alone in a cabin and actually talk..go is quite a refreshing change from violence and sex. James Garner is a marvelous actor who can speak volumes with one look. Julie Andrews was great as always...This movie could be a chapter out of the book 'Women are from Venus and Men from Mars' in a warped kind of way, but an enjoyable film.

I got this movie for my aunt who lives in a retirement community and she wanted to share it on a movie night there. She saw the movie during the Christmas holidays, although I don't think it is a real holiday movie. She was so excited to get the movie that she watched it the same day it was delivered. She did have to wait over a month to get it though. I am VERY disappointed with the delivery time of this movie. I am mostly sorry that I didn't get it when Amazon had it. The delivery with them is much faster. I had to wait over a month and I asked for the 3 to 5 day delivery. She might still be waiting if I had asked for regular delivery. To be honest I wasn't notified of a delay until the movie was suppose to be delivered and I had no way of getting out of the order. I am very disappointed with Barnes and Nobles and will not order through them again

James Garner is visiting his wife in a nursing home and runs into Julie Andrews in her dead husbands old room. This chance encounter leads to her giving a ride to James Garner in the middle of a huge snowstorm. Her car runs into a snow bank and they end up walking in the blizzard seeking shelter. They find a vacant cabin and spend the night. The rest is magic!

Julie Andrew's character was visiting the rest home. She wasn't a nurse there. Matter of fact she was a doctor. James Garner's character didn't offer her a ride. It was the other way around!

One special night was a great movie. James Garner plays a man whos wife is in a nursing home, suffering from alzimers disese. Julie Andrews, plays a widow who still visits the nursing home room of her dead husband. One night they were both visiting the home, when a snowstorm left it dangerous on the road. Julie's car gets stuck, and James offers to drive her and her car home. he takes a ''shortcut'' and in an argument they get the car stuck, to stuck to get it out. They are forced to walk. They find a cabin not being used, and spend the night. The rest you should find from watching the movie. I really enjoyed the movie and I hope you do too when you watch it.
