From Rhino Home Video comes the DVD release of the "Dirty Harry in a Skirt" exploitation classic, Policewomen. While it may not feature too many extras -- in fact, all you get are chapter selections and the trailer -- this disc is still a solid buy for those looking for a some solid-gold '70s cheese. In fact, even if the movie were terrible (which it isn't), it's worth it for the unbelievable trailer that highlights the film's hilarious dialogue and fight scenes (with some truly outrageous audio overdubs thrown in to give it more punch). They just don't make previews like this anymore, but thankfully Rhino is looking out for everyone and has gone ahead and included it. In fact, if the disc only came with the trailer and nothing else, it might still be worth it! The movie itself has been digitally transferred from the original 35 mm film and is presented in a 1.33:1 full-screen image that has the glorious grain of a '70s flick, though it's free of most age marks commonly seen in these kind of discs. In addition, the stereo signal is also devoid of any popping or hisses due to age. With its reasonable price tag, you really can't go wrong with the Policewomen DVD.
