Digitally restored in 35 mm by the UCLA Film and Television Archive, the classic Sherlock Holmes mysteries starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce come to DVD from MPI Home Video. This four-disc boxed set contains the films The Woman in Green (1945), Pursuit to Algiers (1945), Terror by Night (1946), and Dressed to Kill (1946). Each film is presented with a standard full-frame transfer in the original black-and-white. Editor of Sherlock Holmes, the Detective Magazine David Stuart Davies provides an audio commentary track, Richard Valley from Scarlet Street magazine provides production notes, and source author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle shows up in some bonus footage. Other special features include photo galleries and original movie posters.
