This British drama was originally created for British television but was later released in the U.S. It is based on a true story and chronicles the struggles of Deric and Diana Longden, a happily married couple who try to cope with Diana's inexplicable degenerative disease which causes occasional paralysis of her extremities and periodic blackouts. The doctors have no clue as to what ails her. Their love sustains them, but finally Diana comes to grips with the fact that the illness may prove fatal. She decides that before she goes, they should find Deric a replacement.

I rented this movie a few months ago, and I really enjoyed it and cried when Diana died. I thought it was cute in the way Diana, Derick's first wife, wanted to find him a new wife before she died. I think she knew him better than he knew himself. Whether Deric wanted to admit or not he needed Diana more than she needed him. Especially when she talked about suicide. Deric would never have know about the sleeping pills she horded, if it hadn't been for his mother calling asking him to pick up a new prescription. I also thought it was couragous of Diana to hold on to life until after her son's wedding. It was wonderful to see her work at being able to walk down the church aisle for the wedding.
