Overview

Since he was very young, Ho Liang has been fascinated by butterflies. When he became emperor, he wanted to have at least one in every corner of his territory. He ordered the construction of a glass cage to keep them. But when the caterpillars arrived at their enclosure, they lost their color in the face of the emperor’s persistent gaze—he had eyes for nothing but them. An accident leads the butterflies to escape from the garden, and in freedom they regain their color. Soon, the outraged emperor will learn something more important than the reason butterflies lose their color in captivity.
