Overview

Be careful who you elect to lead.

Oppression begins in whispers, and ends with a boot on a human face.
A century from now, a global corporation, the One Percent,
of CEOs and "elected" officials, has power.
Workers believe they are in paradise,
The world is not what they think.
Elura and Fenn see beyond groupthought and risk "Reorg"
for rebellion and a new world,
where the 99 percent create a free, healthy Earth.

This sci-fi novel, Book One of the Elura Trilogy, is about a possible future dystopia. It is an allegory for our time.

Lisa Cromwell lives near Portland, Oregon. She grew up in Houston, Texas, and New Orleans, Louisiana. A long-time journalist, she won national, regional and state awards covering government. Cromwell is a mezzo soprano in a professional Renaissance singing group and teacher of high school students with unique challenges. Some of her newspaper articles are online. Cromwell published two short story collections, was featured author of a story in "The Horror Zine" in print and online, and was published in a Northwest Independent Writers Association anthology. She traveled to Japan on a newspaper assignment, has been to London, Hampton Court and Stratford-Upon-Avon, U.K., Paris and Versailles, France, Mexico, Canada, and most U.S. States. Cromwell has a knack for learning languages and absorbing cultures. She lived and worked in Hawaii and Alaska, swam with sharks, turtles, dolphins and sting rays, and did loops, barrel rolls and upside-down flight in a stunt plane. Cromwell co-piloted a Cessna 150 airplane into the crater of Mount St. Helens just before it erupted. She enjoys new adventures, swimming, traveling, reading, hiking and skiing.
