About the Author
Don't remember Dayton. I was born there, but my dad got a job with Hughes Tool Company in Culver City, CA in 1952 and moved the family out west in that year. My days as a mideast boy were done.
I was always creative. Whether it was employing a tape recorder to narrate stories (mostly horror after Robert Bloch, one of my favorites}, or amateur movies, I always had a narrative in mind.
Songwriting was always close to my heart.
After my conversion to Christianity my narrative turned to the strictly spiritual. My song "Total Dependence" defined my life until that point.
I wrote a great many songs in that era.
My desire for education led me to Sam Eisenstein's class at LACC: Writer's Round Table.
Sam was an extraordinary man and teacher. His only requirement was that you turn in 1,000 words a week (4 type written double-spaced pages) and you get an A. Anything less you get a withdrawal.
