Overview

Let's say you're an independent, self-sufficient woman who runs the family company and you find yourself falling for your little brother's best friend. Now, more than ever, you need to count all the reasons why you need to abandon falling.

Abandon Falling #1 – He's a womanizer. Hasn't had a serious relationship a day in his life and changes women more often than he changes his sheets.

Abandon Falling #2 – He's never serious. He cracks one-liners, mostly at your expense.

Abandon Falling #3 – When things go wrong, he seems unfazed and always remains in control. It's so annoying.

Abandon Falling #4 – He has tattoos. Lots of them. Everywhere. Not to mention, he owns a tattoo parlor. (Damn it! Why doesn't that sound like a bad thing anymore?)

Abandon Falling #5 – There's a growing list of how different you two are. You can't get along for fifteen minutes—a lifetime together would land one of you in prison.

Keep repeating those reasons and drown yourself in work. Pretend you don't notice his good qualities or how enticing he looks without a shirt, and do not, I repeat, do not agree to live with the man while your place is being repaired from flood damage.

Trust me, even the strongest of us can only forego temptation for so long.

Savannah's story is everything I've been waiting for! Grandma Dori is still the highlight of the story and as usual, the epilogue is the best part! The Bailey family is always there for each other, and I love how the characters are such an active part of the story, making you want to read the previous books in the series all over again.

I’ve been looking forward to this book for forever (okay, slight exaggeration). I did enjoy it overall. I’m giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion. Savannah was pretty high strung, Type-A, and a perfectionist from what we’ve seen of her, so naturally I felt like I related to her the most of all the Bailey siblings we’ve gotten to know in depth. I was excited for her to let loose, and fall for her brother’s best friend finally. I did like her character, but honestly she was pretty oblivious to what was right in front of her. I wasn’t here for that, and wanted her to get with the program already haha. Now onto Liam. The way he made Savannah come alive, and realize she didn’t have to live for everyone else was amazing. I can’t get over him; he’s going on my book boyfriend list for sure! Plus the descriptions of him have always intrigued me. A hot tattooed guy with muscles who likes to ride motorcycles plus has his stuff together? I volunteer as tribute! There was a slight enemies-to-lovers kind of vibe going on since they were bickering and pushing each other’s buttons for most of the time they’ve known each other, but honestly they weren’t enemies. Mostly this was focused on the following tropes: opposites attract, brother’s best friend, and also age gap with an older woman. I also loved how Liam was already a part of the family, even if it wasn’t by blood. I’d missed The Baileys, and I was so happy to be back in their world. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Piper Rayne is one of my go to authors for a fun contemporary romance. This is the fourth in the Bailey series, each book highlighting a different romance trope. Savannah Bailey is the second oldest of nine children. When her parents die suddenly, she at the age of 19, along with her brother Austin, take on the responsibility to raise her siblings. While Austin taught at the high school and took point on raising the other siblings, Savannah took on the responsibility of running the family lumber mill. Since she had to grow up so quickly, she needs order and suppresses her own needs. Liam Kelly is Savannah’s younger brothers’ (twins Rome and Denver) best friend. He has had a crush on Savannah since is was twelve and she was seventeen. While Savannah is attracted to Liam, she doesn’t want to act on it since she is five years older and he is her brothers’ best friend. Through the first three books, Liam and Savannah keep sniping at each other, so you know there is some pent up attraction there. Liam is a great character, and he brings out the best in Savannah. Piper Rayne has written another winner. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest review.

A Lake Starlight book worth waiting for!!! I’ve wanted Savannah and Liam’s story ever since we met them in the first of the Bailey’s books. Time has crept along while waiting but it’s finally here and boy was it worth the wait. Savannah has been the one holding the family together, along with her older brother Austin, ever since their parents died in a car crash more than a decade ago. She’s shoved her own needs to the wayside while becoming the face of Bailey timber. Liam is Denver and Rome’s best friend, he’s also been in lust/love with Savannah since he was a teenager. He’s a lot younger than her and she’s reticent about them even hooking up, never mind anything more serious. But, Liam’s decided it’s time to bring back the old Savannah. He’s got a plan, all he needs is for her to listen and agree. It’s all fun and games until they fall. Savannah has more reservations and fights the attraction harder than Liam. but when it’s meant to be. It’s meant to be! Liam was hot, sexy with his tats and his desire to be seen. Savannah, strong-willed but sensitive underneath her armor. A great couple we’ll want to see more of, I’m sure. Next up, it’s Denver’s turn to get ‘Baileyed’ and I can’t wait.

Savannah and Liam's book was a highly anticipated read for me with all the sexual tension and banter, I was definitely not disappointed!!! Savannah is one of the oldest Bailey siblings and while raising her brothers and sisters lost a piece of herself along the way. Liam has been in love with Savannah since he was a kid and is ready to help her find herself again while showing her how good they could be together. These two had me so enamoured with their story I demolished page after page because I couldn't put it down. Piper Rayne somehow brings us stories that get better and better, intrigue us, captivate us and ALWAYS have us begging for MORE!

I’ve been dying for Savannah and Liam’s story since book one, and these ladies did not disappoint!!! The chemistry between these two was amazing. Whether it was the banter and dirty talk, these two were amazing. I loved how they seemed to bring each other out of their shells. Liam has this side to him that will have you swooning throughout the entire book. Savannah is a strong, feisty heroine who has so much on her plate, but keeps going. I loved catching up with one of my favorite fictional families, and I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!

Oh how I have waited for Savannah and Liam's story, and Piper Rayne did not disappoint. This story starts out fast, no long drawn out minutiae and I loved it!  You get to the good part, the day after...the fallout from the wedding! Now if you haven't read any of the stories in this series, don't fear.  You can totally read this as a stand-alone, but trust me...you are going to want to read all of them. I loved the reverse age gap!  As Savannah wrote in an autograph.."The future is female" and I embraced her girl power. It's sad that there is still a stigma on the whole older woman, younger man and I admired that Piper Rayne wrote this story the way they did. It was refreshing to see that Savannah has vulnerabilities.  I empathized with her feelings of being overwhelmed and losing herself.  Nobody really saw her.  Well nobody but Liam. Oh Liam, this is a true man...he is fierce, he is flawed and he is the soft place for Savannah to fall when she needs him.  He too has his fears and he struggles with them just like everyone does. Thank you Piper & Rayne for writing this story, heck for this whole family!  You have really outdone yourself with the town of Lake Starlight and all of it's inhabitants.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review** I've been patiently waiting for Savannah's story since Piper Rayne introduced us to the Bailey's. While it may have taken longer than some would have liked, this story was definitely worth the wait! Savannah Bailey's life took a drastic turn at the age of nineteen when her parents passed away. She put her own life on hold to make sure that her brothers and sisters had what they needed and she also became the face of Bailey Timber, the family business. Savannah is known for putting everyone else first, never even thinking about her own happiness. Liam Kelly has been around the Bailey's for years since he is best friend's with Savannah's brothers, however he's always harbored a crush on the eldest Bailey girl as well. He owns his own tattoo shop in Lake Starlight that is wildly successful. He's had his fun with women in the past, but his sights are solely set on the lovely Savannah. While Liam and Savannah oftentimes don't see eye to eye on things, they are often in one another's orbit. Savannah is completely consumed with work and her family, never having fun or being carefree like she was earlier in her life. Liam sees this and knows that in order to win her over and prove that the five year age difference is one of the many obstacles they can overcome he has to pull Savannah out of her shell. The question is, will she allow that? There was so much to love about this story. First off, Liam is amazing. He's sweet, he's understanding and he's just swoonworthy. There were a few times I wanted to shake Savannah, but I get where she was coming from and why her focus was what and where it was. Any time spent with the Bailey's is awesome and I'm already looking forward to our next adventure with this crew!

I fell for Liam the first time he was introduced in the series and all Falling For My Brother’s Best Friend did was encourage me to fall harder. A friends to lovers story that is full of love and family which ticked all the boxes for me.  I was riveted from the first page to the last and was disappointed when I finished it. Underneath her tough as nails surface Savannah (Sav) Bailey is like most other women, looking for love. Having helped her brother Austin raise their siblings, Savannah has little time to escape her responsibilities and Liam decides it is up to him to help her re discover herself. Can Liam convince Savannah that what they shared would be worth crossing the line from friends to lovers? Or are they destined to remain apart? I have fallen more and more for the Bailey’s and their circle of friends, in fact there is not a Bailey that I don’t love. They are such a great family and their friends and extended family are just as awesome. I adore small town romances and often find myself wishing that I could be a part of the Lake Starlight community. Of course living in such a small community, your privacy goes out the window, with everyone having an opinion. You know when you pick up a Piper Rayne book that there is going to be plenty of humour, that’s a given, but this book had so much that at times I wanted to cry. I also love how “all in” the Bailey Clan are with the people they care about and I have to say that Grandma Dori nearly stole the book at times.

The romance that everybody saw coming is about to deliver the drama no Bailey fan will soon forget. It only took four and a half books, two stubborn hearts, one determined family and an equally determined author to help Liam and Savannah get the ending they both deserved. Buckle up, it's going to be a bumpy ride. Temptation has never been so much fun. Falling For My Brother's Best Friend continues to remind romance fans why the name, Piper Rayne is a staple with one click fans everywhere.
