USA Today Bestseller

In the first in a dazzling new series, New York Times bestselling author Lorraine Heath introduces the Hellions of Havisham—three charismatic rogues destined to lose their hearts . . .

After six unsuccessful Seasons, Miss Minerva Dodger chooses spinsterhood over fortune-hungry suitors. But thanks to the Nightingale Club, she can at least enjoy one night of pleasure. At that notorious establishment, ladies don masks before choosing a lover. The sinfully handsome Duke of Ashebury is more than willing to satisfy the secretive lady's desires—and draws Minerva into an exquisite, increasingly intimate affair.

A man of remarkable talents, Ashe soon deduces that his bedmate is the unconventional Miss Dodger. Intrigued by her wit and daring, he sets out to woo her in earnest. Yet Minerva refuses to trust him. How to court a woman he has already thoroughly seduced? And how to prove that the passion unleashed in darkness is only the beginning of a lifetime's pleasure

About the Author

Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she not only became hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She’s been writing about them ever since. Her work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including RWA’s prestigious RITA®. Her novels have appeared on the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists.

Minerva Dodger finally gets her due. I could easily see where this book was heading, but enjoyed every minute of it. Only wish it had another 50 or so pages to really develop Ashe, a very endearing character. It was a little rushed at the end. Lorrine Heath always explores tough and messy relationships, but here she shied away from the depths of her characters a bit. Looking forwrd to the Earl takes all....you can definitely see that coming.

Had my attention from the first page and held it until the last. This is a great a book, with a very interesting plot. I liked how the characters were developed and multiple characters add to the story without being confusing or take away the romance of the MCs. I absolutely loved the twist of the male MC. He had a horrible past but he did not think he was unloveable and the female MC had to run around trying to convince him of that. He had to prove his love and attention the female MC in a different situation in which I have not read before. Highly recommend this book, it was a great read.

I'm addicted to and envious of the women who spin these gloriously erotic romance tales; tales that have plots and genuine story lines. I am a writer with ADD who cannot end the stories I write - nor am I able to develop storylines with strong characters. But I will pick the best of authors and I will read every single thing they wrote in succession. I average 2 books a week 300 pages or more. At times I can accomplish 3! I May never finish my stories but I will never stop losing myself in the stories that these fantastic women write! Bravo!!! Yvette Leaphart

I was able to purchase this book early at a local book signing/wine tasting with proceeds going to charity. Avon Books was kind enough to allow the event to sell Lorraine Heath's new book a few days early. It is wonderful!!! This is the romance between Minerva Dodger and the Duke of Ashebury, the first Hellion of Havisham. Minerva's father is Jack Dodger from "Between the Devil and Desire" and one of my favorite men. Minerva has been out for some time but has not found anyone who wants her more than her very large dowry. She has given up on love but would like to have one night of pleasure. Ashe is intrigued with the masked women he meets at a club. It doesn't take him long to discover her real identity. He didn't have an ideal ducal childhood and has some issues. Their story is wonderfully written and understanding their fears and insecurities makes you root for them. I loved the small peeks of Jack Dodger - grandfather who plays peek-a-boo but terrifies grown men. Also, there is a scene with the next Hellion of Havisham that leaves me wanting to read "The Earl Takes All" as soon as it's out next April. I really do not like to read or write plot spoilers so I hope you'll give this a try. It's very, very good. If you like the cover, you'll love the stepback.

4 Stars | Hot Steam As a longtime fan of the amazing and immeasurably talented Lorraine Heath, it felt like Christmas and my birthday rolled into one when Falling into Bed with a Duke appeared on my e-reader. Eagerly anticipating another epic sizzling escape involving a swoon-worthy hero and a heroine to adore, I dove right in and didn’t stop—simply couldn't stop—until its marvelous and moving conclusion. Thrilling, passionate and intensely provocative, Minerva and Ashebury's stirring and sensual affair was completely unexpected and a sheer joy to read. Uncommon and uniquely alluring, Minerva Dodger is one tough cookie. Independent, forthright and self aware, she’s no shy miss. How could she be as the beloved daughter of one of the greatest scoundrels ever written, Jack Dodger? Self described as plain and mannish, Minerva is a diamond in the rough who positively sparkles in the seductive arms of luscious Ashebury. In his seasoned, skilled and perfectly naughty hands, she transforms into a sultry goddess basking in life's ultimate carnal delights. Her erotic revelations gain her confidence and even greater strength that make her irresistible to Ashebury. And, by the end, it’s not enough to admire her, want her, need her and live to worship her, he simply can’t exist without her—his glorious, frank and fierce lioness who might just might be stronger than himself. Their love is true and so white hot! Sigh…I just loved them. I treasured this wonderfully steamy romance and its mesmerizing couple and couldn’t be more excited for this tempting new series! After meeting the infamous, scandalous and ever-so-dashing Hellions of Havisham: Ashebury, Greyling, Edward and Locksley I am officially obsessed, in deep lust with that motley crew of male magnificence and can hardly wait for The Earl Takes All to release this spring! Edward and Julia’s complicated history and heated connection promises to astound! Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

First Hellion of Havensham was a great success. Goes to show a woman doesn't have to be beautiful or a Duke rich for a story to work. Can't wait for Edward's and Locke's stories.
