Some of her bestselling titles include The Fuzzy Duckling (illustrated by Martin and Alice Provensen), Animal Friends (illustrated by Garth Williams), and My Little Golden Book About God, The Christmas Story, and Wonders of Nature (all illustrated by Eloise Wilkin).

MARTIN PROVENSEN (1916–1987) and his wife, Alice, illustrated more than fifty books for children, including Our Animal Friends at Maple Hill Farm and numerous Little Golden Books, such as The Color Kittens and Katie the Kitten. In 1984, they won the Caldecott Medal for The Glorious Fight, which they wrote and illustrated together.

ALICE PROVENSEN (1918-2018) and her husband, Martin, illustrated more than fifty books for children, including Our Animal Friends at Maple Hill Farm and numerous Little Golden Books, such as The Color Kittens and Katie the Kitten. They won the Caldecott Medal for The Glorious Fight in 1984, and Alice won a Caldecott Honor in 1982 for A Visit to William Blake's Inn.

I bought this book for a Christmas gift. My husband (53) read this when he was a child. At that time the animals illustrated in it were furry and fuzzy. He was tickled to get it and the grandchildren love reading it too.
