How would you feel if you woke up and did not know where you are or who you are and did not recognized those around you, including your husband? This is the reality that Claire Wright has to deal with when she awakes in a hospital bed following a car accident that she does not remember. Not only was Claire injured in the wreck, but her father is injured as well. What happened? Why was she in the car with her father? How do you go home with a man you don’t know? A man who seems distant and not very loving? To a home that you don’t remember? Claire does not recognize any one including her best friend, Gaby. However, she comes to rely on Gaby and her father, but are they really who they seem to be? She doesn’t know. This is a great read! It will keep you intrigued and engaged, waiting to find to find out what happens next and who is friend or foe. I really loved how this story ended, and I think you will, too. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

A woman wakes up in the hospital with amnesia. Her car accident left her a complete blank. The more she learns, the more questions she has. Lana Newton tells Claire's story with a few twists that leave us asking who the "her" is in Her Perfect Lies. Don't try and read this one on the go, pay attention or you'll never figure it out!

2.5 Stars I thought this book was just OK. It took a while to get into and I had to push myself to keep reading. It got faster paced as the story went on but verged on the unrealistic as it went. It wasn't too hard to figure out the true culprit, but I wasn't expecting everything that was revealed. Pretty much every single person in Claire's life has lied to her. The book was very repetitive and every character was unlikable and unreliable. Claire seemed more like a teenager than someone in their twenties, most of the time, as she was very trusting of everyone around her. I think I was expecting something else after reading the description of the book. This is between 2 and three stars for me.

Her Perfect Lies is a gripping psychological thriller that will have you hooked from the start. A young woman Claire wakes up with no memories of her life after being in car accident with her father. She is shocked to discover she lives in a mansion with a room separate from her husband. Claire struggles to find out who is she … aren’t you a collection of your memories? Her house doesn’t feel like home, and her life doesn’t feel like her. What will Claire find out as she tries to figure out her past? Did she awake to a nightmare? I would recommend this book to anyone who loves psychological thrillers. Her Perfect Lies is a refreshing novel that will you leave you longing for more.

This is one of those books that sucks you in from the very first page! Claire wakes up in a hospital bed with absolutely no idea how she got there, not just that she also doesn't recognize this moody, cold eyed man claiming to be her husband either. I fact she has no memories whatsoever. Then follows a long journey to recover her past and her memories and all may not be as it, or who they seem. Little by little Claire makes sense of her life, but who is the shadowy monster who inhabits her dreams? She visits a hypnotherapist who helps her to slowly unravel her dreams and her memories. The book is full of red herrings and twists and turns, I only managed to guess one right! The characters are well described, I could picture Pal, Nina, Gaby and her Dad perfectly. Great read, look forward to reading more by Lana Newton. Thanks to Netgalley, HQ Digital and the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy. #HerPerfectLies #LanaNewton #NetGalley #HQDigital

billed as a psychological thriller, with the always interesting premise of waking up in the hospital with no memory, this was really disappointing to me. The plot was weak, the characters undeveloped and we could all see where this was leading 20% into the book.

"Her Perfect Lies" is one of the best books I have read in a while. Every so often the reader is thrown into another situation where the lead, Claire, doesn't know who to turn to or who to trust. After Claire and her father's auto accident, Claire has lost her memory and is told conflicting stories by her husband, the police, her doctors, and her father and mother. Claire also is having nightmares that continue to increase in intensity. Claire's husband, Paul, is cold and distant (unless he HAS to act) toward her. He brings Claire home from the hospital. Of course, nothing is familiar - but the only straight talker, she thinks, is the housekeeper, Nina. Eventually Claire's dad, Tony, is released from the hospital to stay with her and Paul. They have a large "mansion" and the room for Tony. Claire also hires a nurse and a physiotherapist. Her dad 's spinal cord damage from the accident has rendered him essentially unable to walk. Claire's mother, Angela, (who most people think would be away for a week to help her aunt) - has yet to come back to London. Why doesn't she leave her aunt in care when her husband and daughter obviously need her more? What really is up with Angela? Lots of twists in this story that really hold the reader's interest. The characters are well depicted (even if you do not like them) and the plotline is gripping! A MUST READ! Many Thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for a great read.

When Kate wakes up in the hospital, she has no idea who she is .... she doesn't recognize her husband, her friends, her mother and father she only knows from pictures. Her father is also in the hospital recuperating. She looks in the mirror and sees a stranger. Her husband is distant, although courteous. When her best friend tells her there were 'issues' between Kate and her husband. When she discovers divorce papers , she's sure that their issues were big ones. Then the nightmares begin ... are they only nightmares, or is her memory beginning to come back? Who is the man chasing her and why is he so fearful? In some respects , Kate feels like she's losing her sanity. Kate must untangle the threads of her life ..... she needs to know who she was .... she needs to solve the mystery of the car accident. The more she uncovers, the more questions she has and she finds that there are deep dark secrets she must root out. This is a well written psychological drama full of twists and turns and secrets and lies. Not everyone is who or what they show on the outside. The characters are finely drawn and lend credibility to the story. Many thanks to the author / HQ Digital / Netgalley for the digital copy of HER PERFECT LIES. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

Her Perfect Lies is a great read the will have you gripped from start to finish. It is an intriguing story that is full of mystery and suspense and perfect for fans of the psychological suspense genre. From the opening chapter I was hooked and was up reading this well into the night. It is definitely a page turner with plenty of shocks along the way! Lana has created a chilling plot that would be one of my worst nightmares! Losing your memory and not knowing things about your life like personal and family relationships, friendships, childhood memories, work life etc, I can’t even..but what makes this story different is that main protagonist Claire may find that she is better off not remembering the events that lead to the car accident or her past….You’re intrigued now aren’t you? There are only a few characters that join Claire in this story with the main ones being her husband and father that we read the most of. They have, as well as the supporting characters been written well and are believable in the roles that they play. They keep you on your toes, each hiding something whether it be to protect Claire or stop her from finding out secrets best kept hidden..I enjoyed how I was kept second guessing myself with them all. What I really enjoyed most about this book is how Lana made me feel tense throughout the story in anticipation of what was to come. It had an ominous presence in each chapter that also at times had me feeling uncomfortable which is how I like a psychological suspense to make me feel. You just know a big reveal is on the horizon and in this case, it’s a ripper! Lana’s writing is very fluid, engaging and flows really well. it is not repetitive and although descriptive, it is not overly done. There is no beating around the bush and I liked how Lana just gets on with it, which made this fast paced and a quick read. This is the first book I have read from Lana and she will definitely now be on my radar for her future releases. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to read a review Her Perfect Lies which I recommend. Thank-you to NetGalley, HQ Digital and Lana Newton for allowing me to read an advanced copy of Her Perfect Lies which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
