About the Author
After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army and working in industry for several years, Jim Gardner earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA. He has taught at California State University, Northridge; the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to his retirement a few years ago, Dr. Gardner maintained a private practice in Brentwood, California; consulted with various public and private schools; worked with various businesses in terms of developing hiring procedures; has published three books and two dozen journal papers; and continues to be engaged as a writer.
