I can usually stand reading long-winded history from a textbook, but this particular book proved almost too much for me to keep trudging through. The stories are interesting enough, but I kind of got weighed down with too many facts, I'm sorry to say. There were a couple of the stories that grabbed my attention for a while, but the rest of the book wasn't really that enjoyable. The editing of the book could also have been perfected. Would have liked it better if the author would have introduced an extra "spark" in his writing.
