One day, Jake saw a group of ants taking food up their anthills. They were going to store the food for the winter. Jake took all the food and ran away laughing.
Jake went by the zoo. He saw an elephant about to eat some peanuts. He grabbed the peanuts and ran as fast as he could. Neither the elephant nor The zookeeper could catch Jake.
Jake saw a man getting ready to toss some meat to his alligators. He took the meat off the hook. Again, Jake ran away laughing.
Jake was walking down the road. He saw some road workers sitting on a park bench. The men were eating lunch. Jake took two lunch pails and ran across a narrow bridge.
As he was running, he fell off the bridge into some quick sand. Jake the Mischievous Grasshopper was sinking fast. He yelled, Help! Help! Help! Nobody came to help Jake.
