In high school, Jennifer Hudson assured her choir teacher that she was going to be a famous singer one day. Never one to set limitations for herself, Jennifer has always believed she was destined for great things and has worked hard to achieve them. Using American Idol season there as her launching point, the talented Jennifer is living her dreams and delighting her many fans.
With her first movie role, playing Effie in Dreamgirls, Jennifer was rewarded with an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. With her first album, the self-titled Jennifer Hudson, she received a Grammy Award for Best Rhythm and Blues Album. Not yet 30, she has already proven that she can sing her heart out, move audiences to tears, and more than hold her own with far more accomplished actors-and she's only getting started.
