About the Author

Karen Melloy Edwards grew up in Doctors Inlet, Florida. She studied at the University of North Florida and St. Mary's College of Maryland. She and her husband reside in Summerville, South Carolina. Together they raised three daughters. She has been writing since she was child. Just Being Joey is her debut children's book.

Aleyna Moeller is an illustrator and designer creating lighthearted watercolor scenes and narratives. She grew up in Iowa, studied in Savannah, Georgia and has worked across France and the United Kingdom. Her goal is to capture the beauty in everyday life and share stories of happiness with others.
