About the Author

Lorraine Heath always dreamed of being a writer. After graduating from the University of Texas, she wrote training manuals, press releases, articles, and computer code, but something was always missing. When she read a romance novel, she not only became hooked on the genre, but quickly realized what her writing lacked: rebels, scoundrels, and rogues. She’s been writing about them ever since. Her work has been recognized with numerous industry awards, including RWA’s prestigious RITA®. Her novels have appeared on the USA Today and New York Times bestseller lists.

This is a good one. It kept my interest from start to finish. Michael is my kind of dude. Kate was a selfish spoiled one in the beginning, but she came around. I will probably read this one twice.

Liked it very much and it kept me interested. The main character was kind of annoying but over all it was not to bad. I would totally recommend this. Read it in a day but read A Duke of Her Own first.

***Desperate for riches, penniless Michael Tremayne, Marquess of Falconridge, is willing to auction away his only possession of any value¿his title¿to the highest bidding American father. But Kate Rose was the last daughter he had in mind to marry. The willful and headstrong Kate requires from marriage the one thing Michael is unable to give¿powerful, unending love.. ***Kate refuses to give into her husband¿s sensual demands until he has earned her love. Michael is not one to back down from a challenge, but neither does he believe in playing by the rules. While he is unfamiliar with love, he is extremely intimate with passion. He is determined to convince Kate that one can substitute for the other. And what better way to convince her than by patiently and skillfully seducing her? ***Just Wicked Enough is an absolute delight! Lorraine Heath is a master at writing emotional stories with strong, lovable characters and this second book in her Rogues and Roses series is no exception. This gem has just the right amount of tension and humor to balance out the heart warming emotion. Plus, it involves an issue that is near and dear to my heart. Another keeper from the great Lorraine Heath!

I barely finished this one and it's around a 2.5 rating. I was skimming through the second half just trying to get through it because I am a fan of the author. The heroine was awful. I don't think I've read a book yet where I put the book down twice because I wanted to throttle the heroine. Sure, both H/h have annoyed me on occasion in plenty of reads but this one for some reason I was so intolerant of. Just as I thought she might be heading towards redemption, she'd say or do something else that made me cringe. She had the upper hand in one area and she capitalized on it. Just turned me off.

A nice read. The plot was interesting but the dialogue was a little overwrought and flowery. At one point, the heroine's unmarried sister is hosting a costume ball in London while her parents are off at the seaside. I found it highly unlikely that a single woman would host her own major event during the Season in the 1880's. Could be wrong but it struck me as implausible.

Just finished reading this book and I must say "thank you" to Lorraine Heath.  I have enjoyed many hours reading her wonderful tales.  Each book seems to be more captivating than the last one; what a delicious waste of time!  To think, I could be cleaning house, washing dishes, doing laundry!  Keep 'em coming, Lorraine, I love, love, love your writing.
