I absolutely adore this series. Kirsten Miller is like Arthur Conan Doyle, JK Rowling, and Dan Brown meshed together with 10 times more awesomeness and wit. These books are not only great for teenage girls, but for anyone who enjoys a good adventure story and mystery. I wish I could find more books like this, that are infused with fascinating information and off-the-wall facts while still telling a top-notch story with smart and fun characters.

Not quite as awesome as the first in the series, but still definitely worth the read. This time Ananka, Kiki and the gang are fighting new mysterious bad guys, and a lot of the story (and the cover) focuses on Oona. I wonder if that's going to become a theme - changing out the focus character each time? The "hints" and lesson parts of this book were even better than the original - I especially loved the list of Things To Do When Your Secret Is Let Out.

Kiki and the other renegade Girl Scouts return for another dangerous mission. This plot centers around Oona, one of the Irregulars, whose trustworthiness is called into question when a secret from her past is revealed. The precocious Irregulars, armed with a powerful perfume that works like a Jedi mind-trick, and accompanied by a band of marauding squirrels, execute brave deeds of derring-do and help rid NYC of evil villains while making a historically significant discovery that threatens to expose the Shadow City. A solid 2nd book in the series. As in the first book, each chapter closes with helpful hints for future undercover agents and other Irregular wannabees.

This second entry in the Kiki Strike series is fun, although not as fun as the first. Has the novelty worn off? Maybe. I was also reading an ARC, and I think the whole could be improved with some editing. Time will tell.

This sequel is just as good as the first Kiki Strike, if not better. It's amazing what a group of talented 14-year-old girls can do when they work together. Set in New York City, this story focuses on Kiki Stike's continuous battle against her evil aunt and Oona Wong's struggle to decide whether or not she should trust the father who had nothing to do with her when she was born, just because she is a girl.
