AS ALWAYS, IT WAS DISORIENTING. Faces and skulls, translucent and luminescent, all hovered around me. They were drawn to me, swarming in a cloud as though they all desperately needed to say something. And really, they probably did. The ghosts that lingered in this world were restless, souls who had reasons that kept them from moving on. When Lissa had brought me back from the dead, I'd kept a connection to their world. It had taken a lot of work and self-control to learn to block out the phantoms that followed me. The magical wards that protected the Moroi Court actually kept most ghosts away from me, but this time, I wanted them here. Giving them that access, drawing them in . . . well, it was a dangerous thing.

AND WHEN I SAY THEY blew up, I mean they blew up.

GETTING AWAY FROM DIMITRI WASN'T just about our rocky romantic past. I'd meant it when I said I didn't want him getting in trouble because of me. If the guardians found me, my fate wouldn't be that much different from what I'd already been facing. But Dimitri? He'd been making baby steps toward acceptance. Sure, that was pretty much destroyed now, but his chance for a life wasn't over. If he didn't want to live at Court or with humans, he could go back to Siberia and return to his family. Out there in the middle of nowhere, he'd be hard to find. And with how close that community was, they'd go to a lot of trouble to hide him if someone ever did try to hunt him down. Staying with me was definitely the wrong option. I just needed to convince him.

As far as I know, this is the summary for this book: "Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice. Now, with Rose on trial for her life and Lissa first in line for the Royal Throne, nothing will ever be the same between them." I can't wait for it to come out! I like Adrian as a character, but I am not sure that I like him with Rose. Dimitri obviously still loves her, but then again, Adrian does too. I just hope that this series doesn't turn out like the House of Night books where the girl has like four boyfriends. I hope she chooses one, and I hope it's Dimitri. He and her had planned a life together and they need to live it. I don't think it could ever work between her and Adrian, sorry to say. I also am really curious about who killed Tatiana. I reread Spirit Bound like, five times and couldn't figure it out. It couldn't have been Victor Dashkov because there is no way he could get into Court to do it. But then it had to be someone close to Rose to be able to take her stake. I was sort of thinking Ambrose, but I also don't think that it was him. I just can't wait for Last Sacrifice! There was such a big cliff hanger and unresolved questions and emotions. This series is so amazing and I just want to keep rereading them!

This series is so great, I can't wait fo rthe last book to come out! I know everyone is sad the series is ending but if you go to Richelle's website she says this is the last book about Rose, she is starting a spinoff series!! I think I am going to have to read her other series too!!

I really, really, really love the first 5 books in the series!!!! It took me about 4 days to read them all, I couldn't put them down! Richelle Mead is an awesome writer, and the books kept me up night after night! Rose is the a badass who knows how to handle herself and I love that about her. I want Rose to find out who really murdered the queen and kick their ass for framing her! I am counting down the months until The Last Sacrifice comes out, although it will be a bitter sweet moment, because it is the last in the series!

This series was excellent, a must read. While this is the final book in Rose's story I do believe mead left some questions open delibratly and we will be seeing more from these characters. Hopefully we will see a happy ending for everyone somewhere in the future.

I'm closer to thirty than 18 and I snuk into the teen section at my local b&n to read the first part of the series and became hooked after that. Mead's books are like alcohol, chocolate, and sex with your soulmate. No, as a matter of fact they are better because I passed up all of those on many occasions just to read the next chapter or two. My only complaint is that there is never a dull moment in any of the books so once you start to read you can't put it down and you get in trouble with your professor for reading in class or your boss for reading on the job. I loved this ending! Sigh...

Okay, I so read this serise a few years ago but never had gotten around to finishing it because all the book were not published yet. Well, I had fallen in love all over again. The serise is a good one and I finished it in about 7 days(all 6 books). The charicter development is okay, although honestly I would have liked to see one more book, or at lest have the last on be alittle longer because well let's face it... rose is a best and humm dimitri XD. She ended the serise good though. I have yet to start the blood lines series, but from what I have read about it, it has all are favorit charecters from VA. The only this the honestly disapointed me about this book was the fact that eddie never had gotten a bigger role. I would have loved to see morecharicter devlopment on his part. All and all it is a epic serise! The way it make me fall in love..then dispise certien characters was increadible. I grew to love adrian, then my hart broke for him. I loved dimitri from the start.. then I hated him.. the I loved him all over again. Honestly there was a moment were I didn't know how I wanted to get the girl.. I just knew id feel bad for how ever didn't. I also didn't really like the fact that I could guess a lot of what was comming. I would diffintly recoment the book to a friends

Spirit Bound ended with Rose being locked up at Court for the murder of the Queen, which is exactly where Last Sacrifice picks up. Everyone is shocked that Rose is being accused of murder. She's clearly been framed since the murderer so conveniently left her silver stake at the scene of the crime. The evidence is all against her and she is locked back up until her trial which is in two weeks time. Not nearly enough time for Lissa, her father and friends to find the real murdered exonerate her of her charges but they need to come up with something because if Rose is found guilty, she will be executed. I was so sad to see this series end. I wasn't sure how Mead would end everything but I thought she did a good job. I was a little let down with Dimitri though. I'm so used to him being this kick-ass character that it was a little weird seeing him being all broken and emotional. Although, considering he thinks that Rose is slipping away, I guess I could see him opening up to console her. He doesn't try to win her back though because he knows that he lost his shot when he pushed her away. He's come to terms with the fact that she's moved on and he's trying to be happy for here. However, Rose is still obsessing over Dimitri and it kind of pissed me off. Here she is with Adrian and she's still hung up over Dimitri. I just didn't care too much for that. I mean, sure at first Adrian seemed a bit off his rocker, and let's be honest here, he still is but he cares for Rose. Even during the grief of losing his aunt, he still only thinks of Rose. It's always been about Rose for him, which is why I was really annoyed that she was so quick to drop him like a hot potato just because Dimitri was back in the picture. Otherwise, I loved the story and the fact that the story is split in half. Rose does a lot of bond spying on Lissa as they try to find the murderer. She's still not sure exactly what's going on back home but Rose has come up with an idea of her own. An idea that will change all of their lives I'm sad to see this series go but loved the ride. I loved it so much that this series has been something that I re-read at least twice a year. Yes, I know, I'm obsessed and I couldn't be happier that they are turning it into a movie. *picture a crying Bieber fan girl clapping excessively, and you have me*. I'm a little happy that there is a spinoff called Bloodlines that will deal with Adrian and I hope to God that poor guy gets his happy ever after. Normally I like a little spin in my romance but by golly that poor guy deserves a happy ending.

*Spoilers Included* I have the biggest like-hate relationship with this book, i LIKED didn't LOVED it. I feel like Richelle, just wanted to finish the series already  but  didn't knew how.  Its a very thick book, and there a lot of parts that its gets very boring, to the point that I thought that she just threw stuff in there to make it thick, they are unnecessary things, fillers. This book is meant to be the one that wraps up the whole series, but it leaves you with tons of questions, that she could have answered.  Rose used and screwed up so much characters in this series, that were for own benefit and for Lissa but in the end you don't really know what happens to all of them. I guess she did it for her fans to read the spin off series of Bloodlines, but the point of this book is to answer those questions. The biggest disappointment with this book comes with my favorite character, Adrian, I love him, more than Rose, Lissa, and Dimitri. I expected her to kill him off, so Rose could had the easy way out and end up with Dimitri, but that didn't happened. Instead he gets his heartbroken, when he sees Rose and Dimitri, and then Rose, not only that, after Rose used him so much, all he gets a sorry and the you are a great guy talk?? Wow, so disappointed,  I would actually like for him to die before that, very disappointed. My other favorite character, Christian Ozera, I wanted to know how he would change after finding out that Tasha is a murder, the other thing that killed me too. Like the Ozera's didn't had a bad reputation already, she goes and make Tasha the murder, because of course after Victor, Tasha was the perfect target, very cliche. I knew that Tasha was the murder, because it was the obvious choice, I would have had used someone unexpected. This book for me just left me confused and no it doesn't make want to buy the spin off series!!! :[

This series is my favorite. Hands down. It had me hooked from the first book and has continued to hold me captivated. Just when you think you know whats going to happen, the story erupts and keeps you panting on the edge of your seat. Rose is such a strong person, and makes you want to be just like her. And the guys...WOW!!!....I was completely in love with Dimitri...and balled my eyes out when...(well if you've read the series you know what part i'm talking about) happened. Then Adrian and Rose's relationship started and I fell for him too. So now...since Dimitri's back, I'm wondering whats gonna happen. Who is Rose gonna pick? I can't wait for this book to come out. The wait is killing me!!! P.S. If you haven't read this series....You need to go get it. It's a keeper!!!!

I love every book of this series. I love that Rose is a strong character compared to other similar books were the heroin is too fragile and whiny. This series is very addictive and I find myself unable to put the books down. I rush to get them when they first debut and after I finish reading in less than a day, I am anticipating the next installment for months. But the anticipation is always worth it. Vampire Academy is such a great read, my boyfriend is reading it as well. He loves it just as much as I do. It's sad that this will be the last book but I'm anxious to see how it all ends. I definitely could have kept reading this series. I love all the characters and am truly torn between Adrian and Dimitri. It's inevitable that Rose will end up with some one but WHO? I'm wondering if they will kill off Adrian or Dimitri to satisfy the reader with the choice of who Rose ends up with. Or maybe pair off one of the guys with another girl. It's not often I find that an author just leaves the third wheel alone. I'm also wondering who killed the queen and who Lissa's sibling might be. I have theories but only time will tell if I'm right. December cannot get here soon enough!!!!

All i can say is that this is one of the best books out there! It is amazing, it makes you crave more. You wonder what will happen to Rose, Adrian, Queen Tatianna, Dimitri, Christian, Lissa, and many of the other characters. The highlights of this book were making Dymatri a dhyampir once again, the relationship between Rose and Adrian, the relationship between Lissa and Christian, the many battles with the stigori, the jail break in, graduation, Las Vegas, and the possibility of Rose murdering Queen Tatianna. This book ended with many questions, i cannot wait until the next book comes out. I need to know what happens. Richelle Mead is an amazing author i recomend this book to any teenager or adult if you want a good read. It is suspensful, action packed, romantic, and has vampires of course. You will not regret reading this series. YOU WILL LOVE IT <333 =D

This book was a great book. I loved every minute of it. It had action, romance, and suspence. Everything i hoped for. The only draw back was that i wished the author added more to the ending but other than that its a must read book.

The Last Sacrifice displays amazing details throughout the story that keep the reader hooked and wanting more. Reading this book allows the reader to work their brains to the fullest, always having the reader to wonder, guess, and wanting to know. The description and characteristics of the characters in this story are exactly how the reader would want them to be. This book takes the reader on a journey as though they were characters themselves, being engrossed in the story line. The Last Sacrifice is a book to be reckoned with.

I pre ordered this book and now i am reading it and i find it hard to read clearly becuase of the all the question marks all over the page.they are where other punctuation should be.when im readin im asking my self is she asking a question or not, every to sentences is a question if the text is stating a question the reader wont know because of the all the miss print punctuation. I know it will be A GOOD BOOK but its a set back, sucks after waiting so long for this book to release. i feel for all the other e book readers who are having the same problem

I can't wait for this book to come out! I will be sad when this series ends. I have enjoyed seeing what Rose is going to do next. I like how Rose is strong and doesn't need anyone to hold her hand through difficult times, but I am sure she doesn't mind having Dimitri or Adrian by her side. Her relationship with Lissa is complicated to say the least.I'm not sure how to feel about the relationship between the two. I am more than ready for this book to come out.

I enjoyed this series and I thought this book was a great ending to Rose's tale. There were some deeper plot points I wish were addressed though. In the end the guardians assumed their same roles "putting them first" and remained more or less second class citizens. I was hoping for some equal rights and representation action from Rose cause she's not the type of girl to stand by, but I haven't read the Bloodlines series yet, so perhaps it will be addressed later

This series is my second favorite to the Grey Wolves Series by Quinn Loftis. I loved the chemistry between Rose and Dimitri. I absolutely loved this series and look forward to reading the spin-off! To the author: Great job! Keep 'em coming!!

Omfg! Its actually over. I LOVED this series and i LOVED this book. I read the last three books in one day (i was grounded) and there is soo much to be happy about and so much to be sad about. SPOILER: i was soo glad that rose and dimitri got back together. I knew it wud happen but i was really excited anyway. As for adrian, i was die hard team dimitri, but i felt bad about about adrian when he made his big speech. Expect sadness and happiness and an overall AMAZING book :)
