She may be pop's most notorious chameleon behind David Bowie, but not even Cher can ignore the Grammy-winning success of her previous foray into the world of Euro-disco, 1998's international phenomenon Believe. So Cher sensibly reunites with the U.K. production team of Mark Taylor and Brian Rowling (a.k.a. Metro Crew) for another infectious journey onto the dance floor. The album is jump-started by "Song for the Lonely," which expands the inspirational theme of "Believe" to include not just your average jilted lover but an entire nation of wounded hearts -- it's dedicated "to the courageous people of New York following the terror attacks of September 11th." The similarities are not just thematic on songs such as "A Different Kind of Love Song" and the relentless "Real Love," which pump Cher's smoky alto through a compressor for the de riguer computerized effect that has been the most lasting legacy of Believe's success. Of course, the effect dovetails so well with the swooshing synths and juiced-up beats swirling around the vocals that it's hard to fault Cher or her production team. Why mess with success? Other highlights include the trance-disco manna of "The Music's No Good Without You" and a stellar cover of Amber's house smash "Love One Another." After each comeback, critics have been left wondering, "Can anything hold Cher back?" This collection is living proof to the contrary.

Cher never stops! She has once again produced a fun and meaningful album. This is break-through dance music. 'Song for the Lonely', 'A Different Kind of Love Song', 'The Music's No Good Without You', 'Rain, Rain', 'Body to Body, Heart to Heart', and 'When the Money's Gone' are all great tracks! This album's packed with Cher-goodness. :-)
Cher is #1 and so is this album!
This is an excellent album. Something here for everyone. I am really proud of Cher on this one. At first, you like it, and then it grows on you and you begin to Love it. Bill
She's done it again! The original mother of self re-invention in the music world has compiled yet another CD that can be enjoyed by old and new Cher fans alike. The 12 new tracks range from latin to dance to soft rock to just plain mellow! There's a little something for everyone. My current favorites are Rain, Rain (which sounds like a song Mary J. Blige could rework into a great R&B hit), and Body to Body which has a great salsa/latin feel to it. I can't wait to see what the remix artists are going to do with this record. A lot of studio effects went into this album, but the true Cher definitely surfaces throughout the record!
i love the album i keep playing it over and over
Cher is magnificent, she is an artist that I can listen to all day, some artist you like just a few songs and never listen to the rest. Not with Cher, I could listen to whatever she puts out. She is amazing and I am so glad she is still performing. I can't wait until her new release December! WAY TO GO CHER. WE LOVE YOU!!!
When I put the CD into the player, goosebumps erupted across my body. I was so excited for her becuase I knew she had another hit on her hands--in fact several new hits. Unlike the Believe album that had two or three excellent songs, Living Proof is full of mind blowing excitement. Try to listen to ''A Song for the Lonely'' without wanting to dance--its impossible.
Cher has one of the most powerful voices in the world today. She has the ability to put intuition into her music that makes it substantially hers, unlike 85% of whats on the market.Mastering the profession of a genuine artist.I await the next journey. DEFINITELY NO CEREAL BOX HERE.
Cher does it again and better than ever before! Fabulous beats and outstanding voice performance! The best yet! This better not be the ''FAREWELL''. Life will not go on without CHER !!!!!!!
Great dance tunes. Don't miss having this in your collection....Wonderful beat and her unmistakeable voice....rocks !
''Nordic Cher'' (cool cover photo) has outdone herself with this follow-up to the awesome Believe album. More great dance tunes, her unique vocal style, and that Cher-bot voice is back. Cher is living proof that many things improve with age. (Not that she needed much improving.) Cher is blowing them away in Europe with the album now. No doubt she will take the US by storm as well. One thing's for sure, you can't help but smile while listenning to this album.
I am a huge fan,but even I didn't think Cher could top Believe. She did.Living Proof is a great C.D.I encourage everyone to add this to their collection. You won't be dissapointed.
This new CD is fantastic! Standout songs are, ''Song For The Lonely'' which is dedicated to the heroes of September 11th. This song will have you standing up and cheering! Next it's time to get back to the dance floor with ''Different Kind Of Love Song''. If this doesn't get your toes tapping nothing will. ''Alive Again'' is reported to be the theme song for the Winter Olympics. Cher also does a great remake of the dance classic, ''Love One Another''. This is a much stronger album as a whole then ''Believe''. Get this! You won't regret it.
Cher is back, and she's 'Living Proof'. This album is amazing. Featuring such dance hits as ''The Music's No Good Without You'', ''A Different Kind of Love Song'' and ''Alive Again''. Fantastic follow-up to ''Believe''.
