About the Author

Both born Jewish in Poland before WWII, Gusta and Solomon Berger found love during one of the darkest periods of human history. Now in their 90s, Gusta and Solomon have been married for more than 60 years and live in Los Angeles, California with their large extended family. Solomon speaks at museums and schools around the world, and Gusta takes good care of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

This story is compelling! Berger's story is so different from any that  I've ever heard. This real history and raw facts. I am very glad that Berger has opened up to educate us all about  this tragic event in history. Solomon Berger will never be forgotten,

This book is amazing...Once i started reading, i honestly could not put it down. It is not only a story of survival, it is a story of absolute triumph. I would highly recommend!!
