Overview

As war looms between the two species, the Demon Lord is determined to find Annabelle – little does she know, the truth behind his sinister actions is about to unravel.

When Annabelle discovers that she is not the true daughter of the Alpha in her pack, her world, as she knows it, comes crashing down and she finds herself running to hide from the tyrannical Demon Lord who is hell-bent on finding her.

Despite her objections, she is taken to the court of the Werewolf King. He’s arrogant, stubborn and discerning of her very being, but willing to defend her… for now.

Will the Werewolf King yield to the Demon Lord’s ultimatum and give her to the enemy or will she be the cause of a looming war between the two species?

More importantly, what does the Demon Lord want with Belle? She’s only a werewolf… isn’t she?

This book is easy to read and is full of interesting and unique characters. This is not your usual werewolf story where either a human finds out they are a werewolf or gets turned or where a werewolf is trying to fit in with humans without revealing what they are. This is a different take on werewolves and other supernatural beings. It has an element of mystery to it which makes you want to keep reading

First off, I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Its for everything that I love and need to have in a paranormal romance and so much more. This story revolves around Belle, who was adopted by werewolves and believed that she was one, but her whole life becomes a massive journey of self discovery as she's forced to go away with the king of werewolves against her will. Much to her dismay, other supernatural kings are vying to become her mate because of prophesy, which puts Belle in more danger and leaving her wondering if she will survive. I highly recommend this one and looking forward to reading the test of this series.

Alena Des creates a detailed world you can sink into, where all fabled creatures are very real and on the move to claim ownership of their mate. As Belle and Keith battle uncharted territory in the underworld and beyond, they discover why they've had to fight an infuriating pull toward one another, why all the kings of each species has the same pull to Belle, and learn the secret to Belle's true identity. This eloquently written novel will have you laughing crying and always on the edge of your seat. I recommend it for readers 18 and above. Can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I've now read all the books in this series and this one may very well be my favorite. I'll admit the begining is a bit slow and it seems Belle and Keith can only speak to each other in the form of yelling, but the story quickly gets moving along and turns into a real page-turner! We meet a lot of amazing characters that we get to know better as the series progresses and both Belle and Keith really grow and mature, coming into their own. The writng is excellent and the story line exciting. Definitely worth the read!
