"Memere What's That" is Pamela's 1st book of a series titled "Xola Lola's Little Bedtime Stories" This book talks to children about fear, trust & love as narrated between Xola Lola, a Mexican hairless dog and her human, Memere (french for grandmother).In this book Xola asks questions about events that she does not understand and is a little afraid of but Memere always answers them in such a way that Xola is no longer afraid.
About the Author
The author grew up on a small dairy farm in Jericho, Vermont. Her family, on both the Davis & Stygles sides have lived in this town for many generations. The Davis farm, to this day, is still owned and operated by her family. Her roots run deep here. She attended Mount Mansfield Union High School, after graduation she went on to the Vermont College of Cosmetology. She has spent the last 40 years as a cosmetologist, 32 of those in the same town that she raised her family in. Pamela is married to her husband Gary Pouliot. They have four children, Nicole, Neil, Brian and Mallory. She also has 4 wonderful granddaughters, Shannon, who is 14 going on 21, Isabella, age 12, is our dancer, Anne Shirley, age 7, the story teller and one of Xola's favorite humans and Lily who is 1 year old.
