About the Author

Natashia Williams is an accomplished author, singer, songwriter, film and television actress, and spokesmodel. Growing up in Sherman Oaks, California, she began her acting career in high school graduating with honors and a grant to attend the University of California Los Angeles to study sociology and ethnomusicology. Working as a model with the prestigious Ford Model Agency while attending university, Williams graced the campaigns of Wonderbra, Sketchers, Hanes and Old Navy among others. She would then walk the clothing collections of Guess, Nicole Miller, Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger in the U.S. and abroad. Just shy of her senior year, Williams booked her first starring role on the television series 'So Little Time', playing a supermodel named 'Teddi' alongside Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. While continuing to model, Williams' acting career spanned the next decade, including two additional starring roles, one on the television series 'She Spies' (for which she also sang the theme song) and another on the Nickelodeon hit show 'Romeo!'. She also guest-starred in numerous film and television shows such as CSI Miami, CSI NY, and a recurring role on the CW's 'The Vampire Diaries.' She made it to the semifinals of 'American Idol' season 7, getting cut just before the final twenty-five vocalists were chosen.

Today, Williams still works as an actor, model and coach while designing her own jewelry line, SEA&POSH. She is also a public speaker, delving deeper into the topics discussed in the book: Body image, overcoming discrimination and personal, conscious development.
