Discover how to embrace your best basic self in this laugh-out-loud funny guidebook from the breakout star of Bravo’s hit reality show Vanderpump Rules, perfect for fans of the relatable and entertaining books by The Betches and Andi Dorfman.

Millions of Vanderpump Rules viewers and podcast listeners know Stassi Schroeder as a major defender of Basic Bitch rights. There’s nothing more boring than people who take themselves too seriously or think that you have to be pretentious to be cool. Stassi champions the things that many of us are afraid to love publicly for fear of being labeled basic: lattes, pugs, bubbly cocktails, millennial pink, #OOTD (outfit of the day, obvs), astrology, hot dogs, the perfect pair of Louboutins, romantic comedies...the list goes on and on.

This book is for people tired of pretending they would rather see a Daniel Day-Lewis movie about sewing or read War and Peace than watch a Saw marathon or read...well, this book!

In Next Level Basic, the reality star, podcast queen, and ranch dressing expert gives you hilarious and pointed lessons on how to have fun and celebrate yourself, with exclusive stories from her own life and on the set of Vanderpump Rules. From her very public breakups to her most intimate details about her plastic surgery, Stassi shares her own personal experiences with her trademark honesty—all with the hope you can learn something from them.

You have to get Stassi’s personality to “get it.” Her matter of fact book will really hit home with lots of people who have watched her grow up on Vanderpump. Her life being an open book she embraced her life lessons and worked to get where she is at. Bravo Stassi... good job!

Have watched Vanderpump on Bravo even though I am Science & Business background person, I enjoy the other side occasionally Bravo shows explore/offer...That said I am enjoying this light, well sort of light & funny young vibes read by Stassi Schroeder. Chapter 4 I almost went out and tossed the book in my Chimenea to burn! Chapter 4 Obsessed her love of all things "death" "ghost" "devil" "666" etc leaves me praying for her soul as she is clearly led astray by her sick obsessions. I get the "New Orleans" vibe and do get that but relate and choose GOD and the good force completely. We live in a world where good & evil are battling it out and GOOD will win although that requires us to choose the GOOD over evil. She plays in a world I would not.

Stassi Schroeder is one hysterical human! I laughed until my eyes watered and my waterproof mascara ran down my face! I learned some things that I never thought about myself and am now trying to be easier on myself with. It’s a “work in progress” for me, but I have already put to use “what to carry” in my handbag at all times, that I am not a 5’11 Victoria’s Secret model trying to wear fashion that just doesn’t work for me, and I can eat as many hotdogs as I want and call myself a “foodie.” There are several more, but I would be writing a ton to tell you that I was so sad when I came to the last page. I’ve not laughed this hard, in front of people, in a very longtime. Stassi Schroeder, you are one seriously talented woman. I will look back at many pages to inspire me for times to come. Yes, I bought those shorts and bra tops, along with a puffy jacket and high heels! I have retired them to the “give away” pile because I’m 54 years old and that’s not even remotely realistic for me. Lol! Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m 5’9, 140 lbs. blonde and blue eyed, but I’m 54 years old! I was looking at the unrealistic as I toted my two grandchildren behind me and called myself a “fashionista! In this book, I found a little more hope for my insane lack of self-esteem, over judgmental, lack of “fashion” sense and my bad attitude woman that I am. You have “knocked this out of the park,” spot on, won on this one! You are bright, beautiful, hysterical, successful and damn good at penning the written word to inspire, even me, to look at myself differently. So, thank you and congratulations on your very first book! You deserve every accolade that comes your way. For every, single person that picks up this right of passage, I hope you laugh as hard as I did, that you find yourself somewhere in between the written lines and like yourself just a little bit more or as much as I have. Stassi Schroeder, you have shown more courage than I ever have, and yes, I saved lives in the operating room for thirty years, but it doesn’t come close to what you gave to me through your book. Yes, saving lives is serious, don’t get me wrong, but saving myself is a gift that you gave me through every page of your book. So, BRAVO to you! You conquered your fears and did it. Keep on writing, it is a gift. Sincerest Regards, Kim D.
