This book is has stories along with questions about the stories. Each story is about one page long. So I read the story to my son and ask him questions. For my son's grade level the brief social studies stories of history and other stories like the purpose of the strips on the flags and dog slaying in the artic and how it affected history are brief but interesting to me also even at my old age :)The only reason I gave it four stars is because from the cover I thought the pages would be in color but they are black and white and as a child I use to dislike anything not in color so intial I was a little upset but after reading to my son I actually like it and can't wait to read the next story. So good job Ms. Foster.
