~ Adult Coloring ~ Scrapbooking ~ + Star Scrying Game ~

"Oh My Stars" is a mystifying collection of ephemeral (but original) star art for you to color, contemplate or use to adorn the pages of a sketchbook or scrapbook. Most are influenced by the wondrous drawings that accompanied the first Greek or Etruscan star maps, where constellations became celestial animals, heroes and fanciful monsters.

Additionally, there is a game to cut out and construct in the Appendix that utilizes the power of your chosen star eidolon, and its influence over each day in your life.

This is collection one, of at least two...May your eyes eat the following pages up, like so much cake...

About the Author

Ryan Durney is an award-winning, full-time, freelance illustrator focusing on fantasy, children's books, textbook illustration, and educational readers as well as sci-fi, horror and prehistoric subjects, for a range of audiences.

He has had paid projects for almost two decades and also been paid to both write and design for picture books, fantasy and educational books. He uses inks, paints and digital techniques to create a unique look.

Ryan's favorite review describes his work as "pearlescent." His images are always crossing the line between classic picture books and something that feels altogether new. His most recent series, Birds of Lore mixes medieval and Victorian influences with modern illustrative thinking. https://www.amazon.com/Birds-Lore-Book-Silver-Paperback/dp/098409007X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474412987&sr=8-1&keywords=Birds+of+Lore

Ryan has been a featured illustrator of over 36 issues of ODYSSEY Magazine (sci-fi for 6th Grade to YA audience), and was recently the sole illustrator chosen for their retrospective collection. He has worked on 1st and 2nd grade Readers, all the way up to sophisticated work for adults.

Ryan Durney has won several awards for his work, including many international competitions such as Best of Fantasy, and Society of Illustrators West #45, as well as a Mom's Choice Award in 2012 and 2011 and "Product of the Year" Award for "Princess Willow and the Magic Fairy Brush" by Creative Child Magazine. All-in-all, though, he counts being voted in by the kids for a Children's Choice Award as his all-time favorite recognition.
