The #1 New York Times Bestseller

Jessica reveals for the first time her inner monologue and most intimate struggles. Guided by the journals she's kept since age fifteen, and brimming with her unique humor and down-to-earth humanity, Open Book is as inspiring as it is entertaining.

This was supposed to be a very different book. Five years ago, Jessica Simpson was approached to write a motivational guide to living your best life. She walked away from the offer, and nobody understood why. The truth is that she didn’t want to lie.

Jessica couldn’t be authentic with her readers if she wasn’t fully honest with herself first.

Now America’s Sweetheart, preacher’s daughter, pop phenomenon, reality tv pioneer, and the billion-dollar fashion mogul invites readers on a remarkable journey, examining a life that blessed her with the compassion to help others, but also burdened her with an almost crippling need to please. Open Book is Jessica Simpson using her voice, heart, soul, and humor to share things she’s never shared before.

First celebrated for her voice, she became one of the most talked-about women in the world, whether for music and fashion, her relationship struggles, or as a walking blonde joke. But now, instead of being talked about, Jessica is doing the talking. Her book shares the wisdom and inspirations she’s learned and shows the real woman behind all the pop-culture cliché’s — “chicken or fish,” “Daisy Duke,” "football jinx," “mom jeans,” “sexual napalm…” and more. Open Book is an opportunity to laugh and cry with a close friend, one that will inspire you to live your best, most authentic life, now that she is finally living hers.

Could not put this book down. The strength it must have taken to be so raw about her struggles for the world to read. Wow. After reading this book I see what a beautiful person she is inside and out.

Beautifully written and so relatable. Thank you for sharing so vulnerably your truth and love for God. I have no doubt many people will face their addictions now because of this book and also come to know Jesus. Xo

I never knew your story but enjoyed learning about you and how you overcame your struggles. You should be proud of all you've accomplished. I enjoyed it and I found it very inspiring and heart felt.

I was pleasantly surprised about how authentic she was in this. I didn't know what to expect since I'm a older, I didn't know much about her. Beautifully tragic and wonderfully happy. She's just like the rest of us trying to just live every moment the best we can and enjoying this beautiful gift we call life. I have a saying about myself flawed but worthy and this was all of that and more.

I've loved Jessica Simpson since I Wanna Love You Forever. Reading this book was like reading one of your best friends journals. You knew about some stuff but there were also some you didn't know. It made you feel proud of someone you look up to. Made you realize just how much stronger that person is.

I always felt Nick was the one who was the one who was failed, when in reality it was Jessica. She grew up and became a strong woman vs the person she was on The Newlyweds. She is a loving mother and business woman. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful book full of truth and so relatable! I have followed Jessica's career for as long as I can remember. I always thought she had a caring heart and when I met her at that military wives fashion show tribute that she talks about in her book that was in the Dillard's in Nashville I was able to witness her kindness! She was everything I hoped she would be and more. Thank you for writing this book Jessica and letting us hear your story through the good and bad. It just made me realize how much of an inspiration you truly are and helping others like you always have!!
