Overview

Raymond Seitz was US Ambassador to Britain from 1990 to 1994. Unlike the majority of his predecessors, he didn't return home, but decided to stay in the United Kingdom. Following his successful radio 4 series of the same title, Over Here is about the transatlantic relationship at every level—politics, diplomacy, education, language, sports, animals, currency, pomp, and circumstance.

Raymond Seitz was the American Ambassador to Britain for three tours of duty in the 1980s/90s; he really likes the country and this book of memoirs is a funny, cool, clear-headed look at us and our way of life.
