**Book one of the Standing Room Only Stables series**
Lynn Welling, a 17 year old girl from Pennsylvania, has landed her dream job -- a stable hand at an Arabian horse farm. Growing up on a Kentucky cattle farm, Lynn's only horse experience came from leasing her niehgbor's Quarter horse and trail riding through the fields after school. Feeling unqualified for the position, she's surpirsed when Cindy, the owner of Standing Room Only stables, offers her the job with little convincing.
Content with mucking stalls and turning horses out, she's surprised when Doug, the head trainer, asks her to take their resident Park horse for a ride. Flopping around on his back, Lynn is ready to quit when Rumble, the Arabian gelding between her calves, has other plans. Together, they make an unstoppable team as he teaches her what the Arabian breed is all about. Lynn instantly falls in love with the tiny bay gelding, and Doug decides to take the chance of a lifetime on a teenage girl with no formal training.
With show season fast approaching, and Lynn a green rider, SROS stables has an uphill battle ahead of them. Even with daily riding lessons, Lynn is having trouble getting up to speed and the resident Junior rider, Zoey, is sure to make it known. Qualification for Regionals is weighing heavy on both their backs, and the stadium lights are blinding as Lynn pushes Rumble down the ramp and into the ring for the very first time.
With her heart pounding in her chest, and her hands soaked in sweat beneath her leather gloves, will Lynn find the strength and determination to push past all of the obstacles standing in her way and make it to the winners circle? Or, will a horrible accident leave her dreams behind, crushed into the arena dirt by the pounding hooves of her competitors?
