I bought this for my 14-month-old son for Christmas. It is now his favorite, so much so that we have to hide it so he can't ask to have this book re-read to him endlessly (I have it memorized). While the title refers to Peter Rabbit, each page uses characters and illustrations from other Beatrix Potter stories (which is what you are really paying for). Each page has a touch-and-feel feature in a variety of textures. For parents who like Beatrix Potter, this is cute. Don't expect it to follow any of her stories faithfully; it's more of an intro to the world of Beatrix Potter for your little one. Like most board books, it doesn't stand up well to a toddler's brutality; he has already broken the binding and torn part of Jemima Puddleduck's body. I will probably be buying a back-up copy for when he completely destroys this.
